Chapter 10

Hera.

I stepped out of the car, gazing up at the tall building. Three other cars came to an halt. One at the front and two behind. The doors opened simultaneously, like they had planned it, and bodyguards filed out. Maria stepped out of one of the cars.

I suppressed a sigh, wondering if we couldn't so somewhere without having bodyguards follow us around. As if this wasn't already attracting attention.

“Let's go,” Ares said, holding my hand. He began to lead me into the building. I tucked my hair between my ears, waking with him. Maria and Adela were behind us, and the bodyguards quickly formed a wall around us.

Even though people couldn't really see us, I wondered if I wasn't showing too much skin with the cropped hoodie and matching shorts I was wearing.

I bit my lip, making sure to stay close to Ares as we got into the elevator with Maria, Adela and two other bodyguards.

It wasn't long before the elevator doors opened and I stepped into an apartment, my hands still intertwine
