Hera.

I was seated by the kitchen island, staring at the plate filled with pasta which was supposed to be my breakfast.

My legs continued shaking under the island, on my own accord, of course, as I twisted the band of my wedding ring. I was panicking.

Adela was supposed to take me to the hospital today. An hospital.

“Hera,” Adela said as she walked into the kitchen, going towards the sink, her heels clicking on the floor. “Why aren't you eating?“

“Not hungry,” I answered, staring at the pasta before averting my gaze. Ares, of.course, hasn't come home since yesterday. After we kissed.

After he kissed me. And then pushed me back as if he was touching hot coals. And the dread in his eyes as he stared at me.

Maybe it was better as he didn't come home. Maybe it was better as I didn't see him here. I'm not sure I wanted to see him at this moment anyway.
