I lay tossing and turning beneath the silk sheets. A massive bed, yet somehow too small for the turmoil churning and burning inside me. And yet so empty alone. My wolf was a restless thing, a desperate shadow whimpering and howling, hoping my mate

Oh wait, my mates

would somehow hear the silent distress call.

I wasn’t even sure which one I was truly hoping would storm through that heavy oak door and hold me tightly enough to finally breathe again, to sleep again, to simply function again.

This was hell.

Absolutely scorching hot, soul-devouring hell.

I tossed and turned for what felt like an eternity, the large clock on the wall mocking me with its rhythmic tick-tock. Finally, I gave up the fight. With a grunt of frustration, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and tossed on a thin blue silk robe. Maybe some fresh air would do the trick.

I navigated the silent castle...

a place I had somehow managed to memorize despite its overwhelming size...

and made my way toward the garden

  • Bound by the Moon: Alina's Destiny   broken boundaries

“Neither one of you are listening to me.” I scoffed and threw my head back into the cold leather of my chair.“Oh but I am,” Jeremiah’s voice sounded smooth like butter, a sickeningly sensual sound as his long fingers found the inside of my lower thigh. “I’m very interested in everything about you, Angel,” he purred, his thumb making a slow, deliberate circle.I clenched my jaw, fighting the immediate, traitorous wave of heat that spread through my core. Before I could swat his hand away, Andrew acted. With a furious, low growl, he ripped Jeremiah’s hand off my leg. Andrew didn't even look at Jeremiah. His large head lowered instantly to my neck, his lips and tongue sucking and lapping at his mark. The possessive action, coupled with the sudden, intense pressure, made my back arch involuntarily and a soft moan escaped my lips before I could suppress it.I knew I needed to escape this before it was too damn late, before I succumbed to the very dominance display I was trying to fig

  • Bound by the Moon: Alina's Destiny   Not an word

I tapped my manicured nail against the cold, polished mahogany, the tiny *click* echoing in the sudden quiet of my sanctuary. My head was throbbing, a relentless ache that felt precisely like the rhythmic pounding I’d endured the last forty-eight hours.I turned my office chair to look at the clock, watching the time tick by. It was too late for professionalism, too early for sanity."Get in here, both of you," I commanded into the empty air, my voice surprisingly steady despite the tremor rattling my bones. "Boys, I can hear you fuming at each other behind that door. Are you coming in, or am I coming to get you boys myself?"The door shuddered violently before bursting inward, slamming against the wall with a deafening crash that rattled the minimalist glass vases on my shelves.Andrew stood framed in the doorway, jaw tight, eyes chips of furious emerald. He looked ready to tear the room apart. Jeremiah sauntered in a moment later, a sickeningly confident smirk playing on his lip

Jeremiah’s arms tightened around me the moment I stirred. I was still half-asleep, nestled against his warm chest, but the sudden tension in the room was sharp enough to cut glass.“What an mate you are. Risking waking her after she’s had no sleep since all of this happened,” Jeremiah hissed, his voice low and dangerous.I felt Andrew’s fury radiating across the room, a palpable, scorching heat. “I don’t think you are in a position to question me on what’s good for my mate or not.”Jeremiah scoffed, pulling me closer still. “Our mate,” he clarified, his voice rough with possessiveness. “She’s not just yours. Besides, I was simply evening the scores. Doesn’t seem fair that you didn’t have to be on a leash with her, but I had to. I want and need her just as much.”My eyes fluttered open, heavy and unwilling. “What’s going…” The words died in my throat as my gaze clashed with Andrew’s. He was furious. Pissed. I could practically hear the gears grinding in his mind, calculating the damage

The soft give of the mattress hit my back with a muffled *thump*. The air was thick and close, saturated with something distinctly him. This was Jeremiah’s bed, without a doubt. I felt the cool air of the room hit my lower back, a sensation that told me I was half suspended, my hips tilted unnaturally high.My pants were gone. Where or when that happened? I had no idea. The last few minutes had been a blur of adrenaline and desperate kisses in the garden, leaving my mind hazy and my body aching for release.I knew they were gone, though, the moment his hot breath ghosted over the most sensitive part of me. A second later, the shocking heat of his tongue dragged across my core, sending a seismic shudder through my body.“Mmm,” I moaned, the sound catching in my throat. The pleasure was already too much, too immediate, ripping through the haze he had created earlier. My fingers instinctively gripped the sheets.“Fuck, you taste like honey, Angel.” His voice was a low, rough groan vibra

“Can I get you something to drink?” I asked, pouring myself another glass that was muchhhhh stronger“I’ll have what you’re having,” Selene said, settling into the chair.“Would it be alright if I didn’t use the formalities when it’s only us?”I looked back at her and smiled weakly.“Please don’t. I’ve had enough titles for one night.”That earned a soft chuckle from her.“Good.”I poured her a triple shot and handed it over. She accepted it with a small nod of thanks before swirling it once and taking a slow sip.I downed half of mine in one go, feeling the burn settle deep in my chest. still not enough to drown out the pain. For a while, we sat in silence.Just the sounds of chatter and laughter still going on in the far distance and the sounds of the nighttime insects playing their tunes. Finally, Selene broke the quiet.“You look… tired,” she said gently.“But...not the kind of tired sleep can fix.”I gave a humorless laugh. “You have a gift for understatement.”She smiled faintl
