Alice glanced at the clock on the wall and gasped, "Oh no, we have to go pick up Axel and Mia from school! Nora, we need to get going."

Nora wiped away her tears and nodded slowly, "You're right. I don't want the kids to notice that something is wrong with me."

Alice gave her a warm smile, "Exactly. So let's put on our game faces and go pick up those munchkins."

Nora managed a small smile and followed Alice out of the room. They walked down the hallway and out the front door where Alice's car was parked. As they got into the car, Alice ignited the engine and pulled out of the driveway.

The car ride was quiet, except for the sound of the radio softly playing in the background. Nora stared out the window lost in thought, while Alice focused on the road ahead.

After a few minutes, Alice turned to Nora and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, "Hey, everything will be okay. You'll see."

Nora managed a small smile once again and nodded, "Thanks, Alice. I really appreciate your support.
