Liam's POV

I opened my eyes slightly to an unfamiliar surroundings and a beeping of machines echoed in my ears. My gaze was hazy as I figured someone standing next to me.

As I mistakenly turned to the other side of my body, I felt a sharp pain wrecking my soul and cried out loud, “Ouch! Ouch!”

“Thank God! Mr Blackwood, relax. You have been asleep for a while now,” someone spoke beside me.

I had wanted to rise from the soft bed but it was impossible as my body was rigid and numb. As my vision got a bit clearer, I saw a doctor next to me and his face brightened as our gaze glued to each other.

“Wow! Mr Blackwood! Oh my God! You're finally awake,” Norman expressed his delight and rose on his feet.

I was about to speak but my throat felt dry. “Mr Blackwood, you need to relax. You're now healing,” the doctor stated as though he needed to reassure me I will be fine soon.
