Adrien’s POV:

Kieran’s throat moved as he swallowed hard. His eyes dropped again. I knew he was thinking about it. About the way she had walked into that hospital room with her soft voice and innocent smile and then planted that awful seed in his head.

“She is not your friend, Kieran,” I continued, my voice firmer now. “She is playing a game. I don’t know what her goal is, but it’s not love. And you need to know that.”
