Chapter 25

Kathryn froze when she heard his strange tone. She didn't know what she'd done to upset him. Chris didn't say anything else, and after passing the traffic lights, he parked the car on the side of the road. Kathryn rushed out of the car without bothering to say anything.

Chris watched her escape as quickly as a rabbit, his face darkening uncontrollably. Was he so scary that she had to flee like that?

When Kathryn arrived at the company, she rushed to Markus' office, telling him that Chris had asked her to see him to sign the agreement. Markus told her seriously, "I'm afraid this agreement cannot be written."

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" Kathryn didn't understand. This agreement couldn't be written? Weren't agreements only valid if they were written down? Without a written agreement, once a dispute arose, there would be no way to resolve it!
