Kathryn didn't really want to see his family. Thinking of what Karen was like, she had a feeling that Chris' family would be hard to get along with in general. Yet, she also knew that the marriage between her and Chris was just a show for his family to see. In general, heirs of big families took marriage very lightly, but their families would constantly urge them to get hitched. She didn't expect an intimidating man like Chris to have a family like that as well.
