Chapter twenty eight

*Ring*

The fuck Linda was calling again. What was I going to say to her? I exhaled and inhaled a breath and turned to the table to pick up the call but the caller got me stunned.

"Ethan!"

I dialled the receiver and put it to my hear quickly before the call ends to hear his voice. It has been long time we spoke. I missed how much of an enviable brother and sister relationship we had back then before our family was broken.

The last time he came back home he was battling losing his job and wasn't far from a complete drunk to cope.

"Hello Maria." His voice slurred has he been drinking? Fuck! He should have stopped by now I'm sure going to give him a ear full.
