Chapter 89

Kathy moaned in her sleep as the cruel morning sunshine moved over her face. She groans, not trying to lift her head from where it's covered under her pillow. Her head was humming, and the worst of it was over, she was not in pain anymore. 

However the only way she could describe her feeling was like she had been driven over by a big truck. It was still painful yet it was not because of her injuries anymore. Something valuable had been snatched from her, and she found the feeling devastating, eating her inside with the hope he would come back. 

She sighed, letting the daylight of the early morning hit her face tell her the arrival of another day, with again a similar expectation yet with toward the end the sun bringing down itself overhead driving her to confront the truth.

He is gone.

She got up from the bed, slid her feets, and set out toward her washroom.
