Unfortunate

Kiara’s POV:-

Life is unpredictable. They say. But in my case, it was not only unpredictable but also uncertain through and through.

All the years that I spent on this earth have a majority of uncertainty and suffering. Not that I’m ungrateful for the blessings that I received in some or other form a few times, but the weight of uncertainty and pain was so unbearable that I never really got a merciful chance to express my gratitude to the universe.

Even today when I look at Tyler all smiling and talking to me, I can’t help but reflect on the time and cost it took for us to reach this day. And what made it worse was Tyler’s question, which was bound to come anytime.

As I was reminded by Sophie that Tyler’s body was still weak and I must not clutch him strongly for long, I broke the hug and held my brother’s hand, stepping a little back.

“W-where is Mummy-papa? Since the time I woke up, I haven’t seen t-them. Where are they? Are they not here?” He inquired curiously, squeezing my hand.
