ELARA'S POV

I stand outside the hall,my hands fidgety as I hear murmurs from inside. I can't hear what they're saying with the door of the halls closed, and for some reason that makes me nervous.

Mia and Dravon's absence is making my anxiousness worse. Heck, everything is increasing my anxiety.

I take in a deep breath slowly, hoping for some kind of peace or calmness to engulf me but nothing happens. I'm still as nervous as before.

Today is the day that seals my fate forever, nothing will ever be the same after I go into this hall.

“My Lady!” I hear Aria's voice. I whip my head to the voice, and I see her rushing in with Lafayette, my wedding dress designer and Nora, my makeup artist.

I'm quite relieved that I'm no longer alone in this empty hallway.

Her breath hitches as she sees me. “My lady you're gorgeous!”

“Thank you.” I mumble, unsure of how I feel in my dress.

I stare at myself in the hallway mirror. My wedding dress fabric is a silvery-white silk that catches the light with

~Mia~“Really Mia?” Thorne asks, his tone soft. “Look me in the eye and tell me you felt nothing that night.”‎‎I swallow, blinking back the heat rising to my cheeks. I remember that night too well. I was rebellious, reckless, desperate to feel something other than the betrayal that Kyle had carved into me. I took what I wanted, left what I didn’t. It was survival. Or so I told myself.I kept jumping from one bed to another, trying to get back at Kyle, trying to get over Kyle's cheating ass. Eventually it became my thing, the feeling of being needed, being adored clouded my sense of reasoning. Then I met Thorne that night. The one man that truly made me feel seen, he listened to me, appreciated me in a way I didn't know was possible. He made me feel something I thought I was incapable of. All these happened in one night. All these happened just because of him. I had to eventually stop my bed hopping, because no one can make me feel truly seen like Thorne. He has a hold on me that no

MIA'S POVWith Luna Elara already gone from the party there's no need for me to stick around. Besides, I don't want to run into Kyle or Thorne. My health is badly depreciating, running into them will just make it worse and the Luna is already suspicious. I can see that she already knows something happened. Thank Goodness Aria came just in time. If I had stayed alone with her, I would've had no choice but to spill everything. Staying beside her is a bittersweet feeling. At first I'm happy to spend time with her, then guilt creeps in, eating me alive. I don't think I can visit tomorrow as I promised, I'll have to look for another excuse. My head is already hurting from overthinking everything.I turn to Aria as we're about to enter the reception hall. “Aria, you can go on. I think I'll retire early, I'm already feeling sleepy.”Aria flashes me a smile. “Okay Miss, good night.”I try to return the smile. “Goodnight.”I watch as she enters the hall before I head back to my room.I clos

~Elara~I hear the main chamber door open and I quickly hide the cloth underneath the bedsheet, disrupting the love design they made with rose petals on the bed.Dravon opens the bedroom door, stepping inside. He's still in his tuxedo that matches my burgundy dress. He looks around the room and his eyes finally stop at me. “What happened here?”I shrug, unable to give an explanation. Both of us stand hesitantly, the air awkward and tense. Nobody seems to know how to proceed from here.“I can-”“You should-”The both of us speak at the same time, interrupting one another. The awkwardness increases.“I'll go first.” Dravon suggests. “You should change your clothes. You know where everything is being kept, I'll wait out there.” He gestures outside the bedroom.“Okay.” I agree softly. His idea is better. He leaves the bedroom and I let out a sigh of relief, the awkward air dissipating.I quickly remove my dress and shower, putting on my night gown. There's no way I'm putting on that strin

ELARA'S POV I grab Mia's arm with one hand, holding my crown in another, hurriedly sneaking out of the reception hall before anyone spots me. Thankfully there are no guards manning this entrance, all of them were at the main door. With the hand holding my crown, I lift up my burgundy dress slightly so I can be able to walk quickly.Luckily this hallway is empty and leads straight to my room.“Let's go to my room.” I whisper to Mia.But Mia remains standing. “Why are we escaping from your reception party? Aren't you meant to be by the King's side?” I gesture to my diamond studded heels. “Have you seen what Lafayette made me wear? I've been standing in heels for hours, I just have to escape. Besides, I'm not used to all this but Dravon is, let him handle it.”“My Lady that's not-”I let out a groan, cutting her short. “Not you too, I think I prefer you calling me Luna now.”Mia chuckles. “The title is even wrong, I'm meant to bow and say your highness or is it your Majesty?”“I don't

~Calistra~I scoff, earning a glare from Lucien. The King walks to the end of the aisle, gesturing for all to sit and we all do, whispers rippling through the hall.I watch as Lucien's expression changes, giving subtle glares at the King. Oh he should get over his jealousy already. Ever since he learnt Elara was getting married, he has been in a sulking mood. I don't know the charm Elara used on him to still have a hold over him till now, despite me giving him an heir. One of the reasons I even showed him the invite and insisted we come to the wedding is because of this. I want him to get it in his thick skull that she's finally getting married. So he can stop pining over her and focus on me.Probably watching her get married will make reality dawn on him that he can never get her back.“Now the Bride, Elara Whynthorne arrives!” A voice booms out from nowhere, resonating through the large hall. The sound of melodious piano notes hum in the air as the main door of the hall opens drama

CALISTRA'S POVI flash my best smile as Lucien shows the guards the Winterwood delegate invitation card. They collect it, confirming it's legitimacy before handing it back to him. They open the door of the hall, allowing us to go in. Lucien quickly goes inside, without trying to check if I'm by his side. I raise my dress up, hurriedly rushing beside him, holding his arms.Annoyance flashes in his face. “Calistra don't even-”Still smiling I turn to him, speaking through my teeth. “We are around people from all over the kingdom, we can at least pretend to be a couple.”Lucien lets out a defeated sigh. He knows I'm right, I'm always right.Without another word he starts to walk quickly, not caring if I match his pace or not. For goodness sake I just gave birth to his heir and this is how he treats me? I thought that if I gave birth maybe he'll learn to treat me right, probably he'll give me a fraction of the attention he gave her. But here I am being pushed around like a sack bag. F
