She started hearing footsteps outside the door and instead of locking the door as Kira had instructed, she walked out of the room. She didn’t want to be inside, she wanted to see what was happening. What if they were leaving her behind? Everyone was running towards the other direction and no one spared her a stare. Without thinking twice, she ran after them, going to wherever they were going to. While running, she suddenly got pulled to a corner and when she raised her head up to look at the person, her brows furrowed when she saw Trent.“Where are you going to? You should be safe.” He said, amidst his heavy breaths. “What is going on? I can’t just stay inside without knowing what’s happening!” She replied.“Fernando is here with his men.” He revealed.“What?!” Her eyes widened. His grip on her hand tightened. “You’re surprised? Didn’t you tell him about the whole thing? Isn’t that why he is here?” Trent questioned, trying so hard to control his temper. She shook her he
“Survive! Survive! Survive!” She continued running, fighting the urge to look back and check if the men were closer to her. She had never ran so fast in her entire life. She was out of breath, but she knew if she stopped running now she would be out of breath forever. As soon as she got to the gate, she banged on it like her life depended on it, cause it really did.“Please… somebody please, open the gate!” She begged in tears, hoping they were men at the other side of the gate, as it was raining. When she turned, she found the men extremely closer to her. She shut her eyes in defeat, waiting for the worse to happen, but fortunately, the gate opened and she fell inside, her elbows and knees scraping the floor. Her vision became blurry, her lids became too heavy to lift and before she knew it, she passed out. While some of the men rushed to her, the others ran after the three men who took to their heels on seeing the amount of men in the compounds.*****Axel’s room* Kira
Axel stood in front of more than twenty people, all waiting for him to speak up and address them. Beside him stood Kira who had a confused look on her face while he hadn’t said anything since the past five minutes. She cleared her throat, serving as a reminder but he still didn’t say a word. He had his gaze focused on a particular direction in the crowd and no one knew what was on his mind. Kira leaned closer to his shoulder. “Boss. They’re waiting.” She whispered. Axel’s lips parted but no words came out. His eyes moved around the hall and when he spotted Trent seated at the corner of the hall, he let out a deep breath. He glanced at Kira. “Do it.” He instructed.“Oh-okay boss.” She lowered her head to the floor. Axel walked away and when he got to where Trent was seated, he tapped his shoulder. “Come with me.”****** It was windy outside, like it was about to rain. They both stood at a corner, watching what the men at the gate were doing.“You really think letting her
As Axel entered the compound, the men were perplexed. Where was Rebecca? In as much as they were curious, no one dared to ask. Axel’s steps slowed, but didn’t stop. “Go watch over her. Make sure she’s safe.” Immediately he said that, two of the men rushed outside, going to do as he had said. When Axel got to his room, he fell weakly on the bed and covered his face with his palms. He just couldn’t get over the fact that he was betrayed by Rebecca. She wasn’t a saint, and he knew, but he didn’t think she would betray him, not at all. Even when Kira told him about it, he couldn’t believe it, until she proved it. He could remember how it all happened. When he got home from the hospital with Rebecca, Kira came to his room to talk about the meeting with Draco stone.FLASHBACK* Kira dropped the mini laptop on the bed and clasped her hand. “I noticed something.”“I’ve only met Draco once in my life and our conversation didn’t last up to two minutes but I know of how he speaks
“Come in.” Rebecca muttered from the bed when she heard a knock on the door. She was seated upright, her legs covered with the blanket. The door opened slowly and Axel walked in, looking so tired and calm. “Hey.” He cooed.“Hey.” She reciprocated. She didn’t get up from the bed, she remained there.“How are you feeling?” He asked, moving closer to her.“Quite okay.” She mumbled shakily, knowing fully well the question that was coming next.“Wanna still go for the walk?” Her eyes lit, that wasn’t the question she was expecting. “Huh?”“I asked if you wanted to go for the walk or…”“Yes!” She cuts in sharply. “I want to.” She yanked the blanket off and stood from the bed. He stretched forth his hand and she looked up at him, wondering why he was acting sweet instead of bombarding her with questions. Slowly, she placed hers on his and they walked out of the room. They headed towards the gate and when they got there, it was heavily guarded by some men. The men lowered t
She grabbed the blanket on the bed and covered her body with it even though she was fully clothed. As she stepped out of her room, she came across a guy standing in front of her door.“Do you need something?” He asked calmly. Her brows furrowed. “What are you doing here?”“The boss asked me to stay here just in case you need something.” The guy replied. She let out a scoff. “I see.” She wasn’t dumb. She knew Axel made him stay there so she wouldn’t go out. He knew she would try to go for the dinner with Fernando, hence he placed someone there to watch her.“I’m thirsty and I need a pineapple juice.” She told him. To her disappointment, instead of him leaving to get the juice, he touched the ear bud in his ear.“Please bring a pineapple juice here.” He spoke to the person on the other end. She clenched her fists in annoyance. Without saying a word to him, she tried to leave but he stopped her by blocking her movement.“I’m sorry ma’am but you can’t leave your room p
