Chapter 10: To the City’s Underground Auction

“There will be a big auction at Tranquil that will happen tonight,” Chris said. We are inside the hideout, discussing our next move. 

I had lunch yesterday with that Zygo, and it did not go well. He had a lot of questions, but I remained silent the whole time while I was with him. I ignored his chatter.

I did not assume that a tycoon like him was that kind of person. His mouth is more feminine than mine. 

“Dhara, are you listening?” I was startled by Clark’s question, but I tried to hide it. 

“Uh, yes. Go ahead.”

“What kind of auction, Chris?” Tara asked; she’s beside me, firmly staring at Chris. 

“A jewelry and antique auction,” Chris answered.

“Is it safe?” Clark asked with an unwelded voice.

“We won’t know if we won’t try.”
