Angel.

The knock hadn’t woken me up, not completely anyway. It was the loss of Castle’s warmth that had done that.

I had blinked myself awake and slipped carefully out of the bed, my leg aching as I limped into the living room to look for him.

That was when I saw Castle on the couch, his robe loose around his shoulders, face still swollen with sleep. And standing across from him was Tomas.

I greeted him politely. I was still sleepy, so things were a little awkward. But since I didn’t want to intrude, I pulled back into the bedroom, pretending I had only come out to ask about coffee.

But the truth was, I couldn’t get Castle’s low voice out of my head. Why was he speaking so low?

And then, there was Tomas’s stiff posture and something that felt like tension between them.

My curiosity was piqued, so I slipped back out, padding toward the living room with the excuse of asking where the coffee was kept so I could get it myself.

That’s when I heard the word. Kiss. They were talking abou

AngelI placed a little lick over the soft skin of Castle’s heat to let him know I was about to resume in earnest, then I lapped at it with long and leisurely strokes. My tongue entered him again. I pushed the tip of my tongue in first, spreading his cheeks wider, letting my tongue thrust hard, fast and deep. This time Castle did push back, rocking in time with the movement of my tongue. He was impaling himself on it, in a perfect imitation of the dance we would soon perform.I pushed and stroked deep inside him, back and forth, not missing an inch. I retracted my tongue to encircle Castle heat before diving in again, over and over. Finally, it was too much. I licked his well-wetted opening and brushed my lips over it one last time. I pushed a finger in him to gauge whether he was relaxed enough. The single digit slipped in with ease and I rumbled my approval."Mine," I husked."Yours…" Castle whimpered, his hips pushing back on my finger. A light, stinging slap stilled his movements.

Castle. The kiss wasn’t a kiss. It was a punishment. His mouth moved like he was branding mine. And when his teeth cut my lip, when his hand closed tighter around my throat, I swore I felt my soul surrender. And I loved it.I loved the violence. I loved the cruelty dressed as desire. I loved the way he shook when he kissed me, the way he tried to consume me whole like I was something he hated and couldn’t let go of. This was possession. And I’d take it.Because the Angel who stared out the car window with indifference in his eyes—that Angel had been killing me. Slowly and quietly. I would rather bleed under this version of him, feral and furious, than be ignored by the other.“Bedroom now,” he growled against my mouth. His hand was still at my throat, and the command rattled through me. “Face the wall, kneel and wait for me.”When he released me, air seared my lungs, but I didn’t argue. I just obeyed.I stumbled into the bedroom, my legs shaky under me, while my chest heaved. I sank

  • Castillo Del Angel: Marked By Vengeance.    135. A Knock at Dawn.

Castle. The knock came at dawn, sharp and insistent, rattling against the silence of my wing. For a second, I thought it was nothing but a dream. But it came again, harder this time, and the sound dragged me out of the haze of sleep. My arm was still wrapped around Angel, his body warm against mine, his breath steady in the cocoon of sheets. For a moment, I wanted to ignore whoever stood at the door. Let them knock until they got tired. I would’ve stayed in bed with him, but the world doesn’t give men like me that luxury.I pried myself away, careful not to wake him. My feet touched the cold marble floor, the chill biting through the remnants of sleep, and I shrugged on the silk robe hanging by the door. The knock came again, and this time, the edge of urgency in it pushed my pulse higher.I cracked open the door. Tomas stood there. His face looked carved from stone, but his eyes betrayed him—they were restless, sharp, and a little panicked.“What is it?” I muttered, voice low and ro

Angel.By the time I stepped out of the bathroom, steam was curling from my skin like smoke. The room was quiet. My hair was damp, my body was wrapped in a towel, and each step sent a faint ache rippling from my thigh. The wound had closed a little, but it still throbbed with every shift of muscle. I was prepared to find Castle gone or worse, pacing, unraveling. Instead, I saw him sitting on the couch. He was waiting and the first-aid box was open in front of him, gauze and antiseptic bottles arranged with precision. He looked up at me the moment I entered. And then lifted his hand and patted the cushion beside him. A quiet command, but gentle.I hesitated—because hesitation had become my armor—but then I limped forward, towel replaced with clean clothes, and sank into the space he had cleared for me. The leather creaked under our weight. My thigh pulsed with every movement, but the pain was muted compared to the storm in my chest.Without a word, Castle reached for the scissors,

Castle. The Lucchese mansion looked like a fortress in the dead of night, every archway cloaked in shadows, every corner watched by the silent vigilance of guards who never seemed to sleep. I had grown up in these walls. I knew the creak of every step, and the cold draft of every hallway. Yet tonight, as I sneaked Angel in behind me, I tried to see it through Angel's eyes and the place felt foreign—like we were trespassers in a house that was supposed to be mine. The guards did not question me when I waved us through; they wouldn’t dare. Still, I could feel their eyes on my back, suspicious, as though they could sense something amiss.Angel limped quietly beside me, his crutches clicking softly against marble as I guided him toward my wing. My mind was on autopilot—one part aware that at any moment, if someone noticed, if a whisper reached my father, all of this could blow up. Another part, the reckless part, was too consumed with Angel’s presence to care.I had just pushed open th
