Change of Plans

Bella POV

"Hi Elise"

"Hey Bella, I am sorry for what happened. I cant believe he would do something like that. I though he was one of the rare ones you know?"

"Yeah, so did I. I mean I did not love him, I cared for him, and was hoping with time I could love him, but he just really screwed up his chances. You should read all the messages he sent me."

"I want to read the messages" I pass Elise my phone. It takes her about 15 minutes to read through all the messages. Her facial expressions while reading the messages made me laugh so loud. I cant always count on her to make me laugh.

Elise and I were close, but after everything happened with her brother her and I became inseprable. She was there to hold me while I cried my eyes out. I know I can trust her because she never told her brother how I really felt after what happened. We basically do everything together. I absolutly adore her. She is the sister I never had, but always wanted.

“I can’t believe he said half of these things. He is really showing his true colors” Elise says pulling me out of my thoughts.

“You can say that again. I think I am just shocked. I mean I wish he was open and honest with me. I thought he was but I guess not. On top of that, he clearly was just with me because of who I am not for me.” I said.

“Well, it’s his loss babe! The good thing about this is the fact that you don’t have to waste more time on him.” She says.

“Elise, I was supposed to go on a trip with him this weekend. Now that is not happening. Today has been the worst day ever.”

“Where were you going to go?” She asked

“Well we were supposed to go to Vegas. It’s was supposed to be a realizing weekend. We even got a suite with 4 rooms. It’s a beautiful hotel. The suite has everything we could’ve needed, and I was planning a serious all day Spa adventure” I say and laugh at the end.

“Well, I am free this weekend and I could go for a relaxing weekend as well. Mom is driving me nuts with this wedding planning. It’s a lot and so many people will be coming. I am extremely stressed out because of it.”

“And this is why I want a small intimate wedding. I never wanted a big wedding. Too much of a hassle. As long as the one I love is there with me, that is all I will ever need”

Elise laughs and says “You are such a hopeless romantic, you know that? I mean you have always been reserved and such, but do you really not want a big wedding?”

“Absolutely not. I honestly would perfer the money to go towards a house or the interior design of the house. Also an amazing honeymoon somewhere I have never been before but also romantic”

“Yup, hopeless romantic” she bust out laughing.

“Ok, let’s do it. We are taking the private jet. And leave Friday at 12. We will be there in time for a dinner and early rest to go to the spa Saturday and Saturday night we will go out. Also, let your fiancé know. I know he gets worried when he can’t contact you. Now he is a keeper.”

“ I am texting him right now. I know he has a meeting on Friday that he is traveling for with my brother. One of the new clients can’t fly out here so they decided to meet for dinner on Friday.” She says.

She starts telling me about finding the venue for the wedding finally. We live in NYC. I love it here. I live in a brownstone now, but I have been looking at houses in the suburbs. If I ever moved out of the states something serious has had to happen.

“Oh, he just responded he said that will be great and it works perfectly because they will be in Vegas too as that is where his client is. They will leave us alone but said he will like to join us on our night out. He said he wants to make sure we are safe.” She says

“Wait, so your brother will be there too? Maybe we can go to another location and not Vegas. I mean don’t get me wrong I care about your brother but I am not in the mood to see his playboy ways.” I respond.

“I know that you still care about him and I know that is not going to be easy, but he still considers you his best friend. I was at his house before I came here when I got your text. I was genuinely worried about you as well as I was. I know you have history and you guys talk at our family dinners and business meetings but maybe you can bare with him for the night. I mean it would be safer to have the guys with us then to be alone and risk people trying to take advantage of us.” She says and she is right. I hate that she is right.

“Okay fine. He can join. I hope this is not a mistake.”

Okay well this is a change of plans. I really need to try. He has always tried to reinstate our friendship to what it was before everything and the dating. I guess I can try as well.

“Okay, are you staying over today. I have to head to bed. I have a meeting early in the morning with your dad, brother, and my dad. Tomorrow is Thursday so how about we pack together and I will allow to buy my outfit for Saturday night. I can’t promise I won’t complain but I want to just let loose and have fun. I mean not to much fun because you know that’s only reserved for my future husband.” I laugh

“YES!!!! Finally I get to pick your outfit for a night out. I can’t wait. But just letting you know, I won’t let you see it until you have to put it on. Also I am getting shoes to match the outfit. Ugh! I can’t wait” she is so excited, I can’t contain my laughter. She can sometimes be worse than a five year old.

“Okay, calm down. I’m headed to sleep. I guess I’ll see you in the morning. Good night Eli” I say

“Good night” she responds

The next morning I woke up, and got ready for the meeting. Elise was still knocked out. I have sent her a text and left for the office. Once I got to the office I got ready to walk in the conference room. I had 15 minutes before everyone gets here.
