That was how Mace greeted me when we arrived at her house. Perhaps she was wondering because my eyes were swollen. He looked to Renjo as if she could obtain an explanation, but Renjo merely shook his head, so Mace frowned and looked back at me.
I sighed. Since I really don’t want to worry her, I needed to lie. “I just woke up.”
"Was the traffic so bad that you slept for a long time and your eyes turned like that?" I just nodded as a response. I don’t want to explain myself and I don’t want to argue with her. Knowing Mace, she should know that I am not really okay now.
