Chapter 17

There were only a few minutes left before midnight. Diego walked to the edge of the ravine with an inexplicable sense of anxiety. He closed his eyes and stretched out his arms. The waves crashing against the rock in front of him were ready to drown him, pulverizing his falling body.

Felicia was still trying hard to locate Diego. Her eyes kept alternately looking at the gps on her phone and the road in front of her. With just a little more time left, she should be there.

"Come on Felicia, just a little more. You can't lose any time!" Felicia said, encouraging herself.

In the distance, Felicia's car lights highlighted the only vehicle parked on the side of the ravine. And apparently, that's where she was supposed to be heading. Once she was sure that the car belonged to Diego, Felicia stepped on the gas pedal as hard as she could. With one press, the brakes squealed.
