Lucien pov

“What about Selene?” I asked, a bit impatient at the austere silence that stretched on between us.

Jac hesitated a bit before he answered. “I just got some information that she’s living in a brothel and,” he paused, but I could hear him sighing deeply. “I’m riding towards there at the moment.”

I could hear the buzzing sound of machines in the background and I shut tight my eyes to pacify the rage that was stirring to the surface within me.

“Text me the address I’ll be there next tomorrow . Just don’t let her see you. I just want to be sure that’s where she lives but if she doesn’t live there I might have to visit her tonight.”
