I stood frozen, the image of her killing my mother and hurting my face replaying in my mind as I clenched my fist in fury.

I knew I should quietly walk past them, but I was still in my party outfit, which felt quite awkward, making me look like a paid escort.

It wasn't long before Vesper's eyes met mine, and she leaned in to whisper to Max as they both stared at me. It must have been terrifying for them to see me standing there in such revealing clothing, trembling with tears streaming down my face.

"Well, I didn't know Sam still paid for a hooker to visit his room," Max blurted out, and Vesper giggled. Without saying a word, I rushed past them, my only desire being to pull a trigger on them and watch them fall dead at my feet.

I could hear her laughter growing louder as I hurried into the servant quarters and into my room. There, I found Helen. Ignoring her, I stumbled to my bed, tears streaming down my face.

It was unbearable, truly unbearable. Seeing the

I froze when I turned to face him and saw that he was furious, really furious. I initially thought it was because of our last encounter, but I realized it was deeper than that. I knew I had to play my cards right if I wanted to survive, and I couldn't have Clara getting in the way; her obsession with Silvio could obstruct my path to him.“Thanks for showing me the room. I think I’d prefer to be alone,” I said dismissively, not wanting to engage in a conversation with him.“Answer me!” he shouted, and I turned to meet his gaze.“And what? Yes, I did. She had to pay for what she did to me,” I replied, glaring at him.“That’s not true. I was there, and I saw that there wasn’t a bruise on your cheek. If there was, it had faded, and it’s been over twenty-four hours. You lied to the Don to get revenge on her,” Sam said, and I held his stare, refusing to back down.“What are you going to do? Are you going to tell him?” I asked, looking at him as he studied me intently.“No, I wouldn’t, not b

I despised this sensation, the feeling of betrayal. I was trembling on the ground, and it felt like it would consume me. So, this is how it would conclude; this is how everything would vanish.“Babe, do something! She must pay for what she has done!” Vespera shouted in fury.“Take her away and make sure she can't walk afterward,” Max ordered the men in the room with a smirk.“Oh, how I would love to see that,” Clara laughed as I was seized and held up. My gaze remained fixed on Eve as she looked at me. I desperately wanted to understand her thoughts, to know what was going through her mind now that I had ruined everything.Just as they were about to drag me away, a loud voice interrupted.“Get your hands off her! It was a mistake; people make mistakes, you brute!” Salvo commanded as the men released me. I could see the fury in their eyes as they glared at him.“If we don’t make an example of pe

I stood there feeling foolish, wanting to tell her it was a lie, but as I looked at her, I could see she wasn't lying. Sam had warned me to stay away from him because he was dangerous, but I didn't think his opinion mattered, and Helen, they all knew.Looking at Ruth, she had a sick smile on her face, as if she wanted to tell me that my death was imminent.“If that’s all, I would like to leave now,” I said, and her smile vanished as she focused on me, just as I turned and was about to take a step forward.“Be a good girl and serve at dinner this evening,” she commanded, and I stood there in shock. I didn’t want to, not with this information, not with Max and Vespera currently at the mansion.“It’s not my job to do that; I can’t… you can’t put me there,” I protested, but the grin on her face indicated that this was not good.“I am the boss; I tell you what to do and what not to do.

I gazed up at her and recognized her immediately. She was a woman in a red dress with blonde hair. Clara, Silvio's mistress, was someone I had heard about before arriving here. Eve had warned me to steer clear of her. I could tell she was furious as she glared at me with angry eyes. “Who do you think you are? Just a maid, that’s all you are,” she snapped, and as I attempted to rise, she shoved me back down. “How dare you sleep with my man? Who gave you the right? How far do you think you can go against me?” she hissed, her breath coming in heavy bursts. For years, it was common knowledge that she was the only one Silvio was seeing; their affairs were discreet and kept from the public eye, but I was aware because I had studied Silvio's lifestyle before coming here. Finally, I stood up and faced her, with workers all around us, watching the scene unfold. “You have no right to hit me,” I growled, and she laughed as she stepped closer. “What did you say?” s

My heart slipped a beat as he stood in front me, he was so handsome, and without warning I leaned in and captured his lips, he kissed me slowly as I melted in his embraced.Soon he lifted me and kept me in top his deck and I smirked at him.“You know how to fucken tease me, what the fuck were you doing dancing like that in front of everyone,” he snapped at me and I smiled innocently.“Did you enjoy it?” I asked, my voice low and teasing as I smiled at him.His gaze darkened, and he leaned in closer. “You, out there with everyone watching, does something to me,” he murmured, and I felt a thrill at his words.“So, you didn’t like it?” I pressed, maintaining my seductive tone.“Don’t do it again if you’re not prepared for the consequences,” he warned, his fingers gently caressing my jaw as I smiled up at him, my legs playfully lifting toward his groin.“And what might those consequences be?” I asked, feigning innocence, my voice a sultry whisper. And before I realized what was happening,
