Flora

The circle around us tightened, the sound of footsteps shuffling on dirt. Wolves formed a solid ring, their eyes sharp, their anticipation thick enough to taste. It felt like the whole pack had gathered just to watch this.

Elena stood in front of me like she owned the air between us, arms loose at her sides, chin tilted high. Her eyes, bright and cold, locked on mine. She didn’t move. She didn’t blink. She just smiled,a slow, knowing smile that made my skin prickle.

“Go ahead,” she said softly, her voice carrying just enough to make sure everyone heard. She almost sounded bored. “Show me what the Alpha’s little Luna can do.”

I didn’t move either. If there was one thing I’d learned in life, it was that the first one to lose their patience often lost the fight. She was baiting me, trying to pull me into her rhythm before I could find my own. If I rushed her, she’d use my momentum against me.

My wolf might still be weak, but my brain wasn’t.

Seconds stretched. The air between us fe

Flora’s PerspectiveI heaved a deep sigh after Valen left, but his words still echoed in my head, loud and sharp like they were carved into my mind.Even though the room was now quiet, I could still hear his voice calling me names. I sat frozen, my body stiff, staring at the empty space where Valen had stood only moments ago. It was strange how quickly a room could change. Just minutes before, it had been full of tension, full of shouts and anger. Now it was silent, but the silence was heavy, pressing on my chest. My heart was beating so loudly that I thought Leo might hear it. Why can’t I stop hearing his words? Why does it bother me so much?Leo was still standing nearby. At first glance, he looked calm. His posture was straight, his face serious. But I knew him well enough to sense that he was not calm at all. His hands were clenched into fists at his sides, and his jaw was tight, as if he was fighting to keep his emotions under control. What is he thinking? Is he angry with me? Do

Third Person’s PerspectiveValen was tired. His legs felt like heavy stones dragging across the ground. His body ached from days of moving without much rest, but his mind would not allow him peace. He had been searching for Flora everywhere, and each hour that passed only made his heart pound harder with worry.I must see her. Time is running out. If she does not listen to me, everything will fall apart. Everything I have been trying to prevent will come crashing down. Why is she making it so hard? Why does she keep slipping away from me?He forced his steps faster, his boots crunching against dry leaves. He knew where he was going, the place where they usually met in secret, far from the eyes of others. That small clearing in the woods had been their spot for a long time, a place of whispers and hurried words. When he finally reached the clearing, Valen stopped so quickly that his breath hitched in his throat. For a second, he thought his eyes were lying, playing some cruel trick on h

FloraThe sun was bright that morning. I stretched on the bed and felt my body ache a little. My arms reached high above my head and I let out a soft yawn. For a moment, I stayed still, blinking at the light that slipped through the curtains. Slowly, my eyes opened wider, and that was when I saw Leo sitting on the chair close to the window. He was holding a pile of papers in his hands, his brows slightly furrowed, but when he noticed I was awake, his whole face softened. He smiled, and that smile did something strange to my chest.“You’re finally up,” he said, his tone half playful, half relieved.I groaned and sat up, running a hand through my hair. “Don’t say it like I sleep too much.”He chuckled under his breath. “You do. But I like watching you sleep.”I grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at him. “Creep.”He caught the pillow easily, his grin only growing wider. I should have been annoyed, but inside I felt warm. It was strange how much I liked these little moments with him.

FloraI sat on the couch in the Alpha’s study, the soft cushions under me not bringing any comfort at all. The air in the room felt heavy, almost thick, like something was pressing down on my chest. Across from me, sitting in their chairs, were Leo and Lucas. Both men had their eyes locked on me, staring like I had suddenly grown two heads.Their eyes didn’t move away. They were too focused. I shifted my weight, crossing one leg over the other, trying not to look nervous. Why are they staring like that? Did I do something? Well… I did. The problem is, how much do they know?I moved my gaze between them again, first Leo, then Lucas. Neither of them looked away. This is not normal. Leo is always intense, but this feels different. Lucas too. Something’s going on.Leo cleared his throat, the sound loud in the quiet room. He leaned back in his chair, trying to look relaxed, like he was just casually sitting there. But I knew him too well. His fingers kept tapping the armrest, his eyes kept

Leo’s PerspectiveI sat with Lucas in the study room. The desk in front of us was covered in papers. Reports, complaints, requests from pack members, notes from guards about patrols, lists of supplies. It felt like the pile was never ending. Every time I picked one sheet, another two seemed to appear from nowhere. My head was already aching. I pressed my fingers to my temple for a moment. Still, I forced myself to focus. I couldn’t allow myself to stop. Being Alpha meant carrying everything. Even when I was tired, even when I wanted to leave all this work, I couldn’t.Lucas sat across from me. He had one of the documents in his hands. His eyes moved fast over the words, line by line. His face, however, showed nothing. No irritation, no stress, no boredom. Sometimes I wondered if he even felt pressure at all. He was too calm, too steady. It was something that both helped me and annoyed me at the same time.I watched him for a long moment, my mind restless. Something had been bothering

ValenI pressed the phone to my ear again, listening to the ringing sound, waiting for her voice. But the call did not go through. The same dull message echoed in my ear, telling me the line could not connect.“Come on, Flora,” I muttered, pacing the room like a caged animal. My boots made a steady sound against the floor. “Pick up. Just once. Pick up.”I tried again. Nothing. The same cold message. It kept saying the number was unreachable, as if she had disappeared off the face of the earth. My chest felt heavy, almost painful. My mind started racing in circles. Why is she not answering? What could be stopping her? Did they catch her? Did Leo finally discover that she was helping me? Did he punish her already?I rubbed the back of my neck hard, frustrated and restless. The room felt too small. “Damn it,” I growled under my breath, my voice breaking the silence.I sat down heavily on the edge of the bed, but the stillness only made me worse. My legs started shaking, restless, like I
