Josie’s POV

The blindfold was soaked through, tears, sweat, drool, but Alexander didn’t remove it.

He didn’t speak either.

Not yet.

I heard the soft metallic clink of the cuffs being unhooked from the headboard. My arms fell limply to my sides, shoulders screaming from the strain, but the relief lasted only seconds.

Strong hands gripped under my arms and hauled me upright. My legs were jelly; he had to hold most of my weight as he walked me backward across the room.

My bare feet met cold polished

Josie’s povWe stayed on the couch until the sun dipped low and the city lights started to flicker one by one. Lily had fallen asleep between us with her latest drawing still clutched in her small hand. Alexander carried her upstairs while I cleaned up the last traces of ash from the terrace. When he came back down he pulled me into his arms without a word and we stood there for a long time just holding each other, just the steady beat of his heart against my cheek and the quiet promise that tomorrow would be ours to shape. The next morning the Hart Foundation Gala invitation landed on my desk like it had been waiting for the perfect moment. The annual closing event of the season. Black tie, masks optional but everyone knew what it really was. A final chance for the old families to show off and whisper about who still held power, this year the whispers would be about us.I read the gold-embossed card twice then looked across the office at Alexander. He was already watching me with

Josie’s POVA week later a letter came in.It arrived in a plain white envelope with no return address just a prison stamp smudged in the corner. I knew who it was from the second the security guy handed it to me at the door, my stomach twisted but I didn’t throw it away. I carried it inside and found Alexander in the living room pouring coffee. Lily was at school so the penthouse felt quiet and ours again. He saw the envelope in my hand and his jaw tightened. “From him?”I nodded. “Smuggled out somehow. Probably paid one of the guards.”Alexander set the coffee down and pulled me onto his lap right there on the couch. His arms came around me solid and warm like he could shield me from the words before I even read them. I leaned back against his chest and tore the envelope open. The paper was cheap and thin but the handwriting was the same arrogant scrawl I used to know by heart.I started reading out loud my voice steady at first.“Josie, You think you won. You think locking me awa

  • Claimed by my Husband ruthless Uncle    Chapter 75: Two years Anniversary

Josie’s POVI woke up the next morning with Alexander’s arm still wrapped around me and the faint taste of last night’s wine on my tongue. Sunlight poured across the bed and for a second I just layed there letting it warm my skin, two years. Exactly two years since the day we stood in Tokyo courthouse and made our marriage real, not the contract version. Not the shield. The real one. The one where I looked him in the eye and said yes because I wanted him not because I needed protection.I slipped out of bed careful not to wake him and checked on Lily, she was already up drawing at the kitchen table with the nanny nearby. When she saw me she held up her latest picture three stick figures holding hands under a big sun. “Mommy look. It’s us forever.”My chest went tight. I kissed her forehead and told her we had a surprise trip. “Just a quick one baby. Daddy and I need to go back to Tokyo for one night. You’ll stay with Nanny Mia and we’ll call you every hour if you want.”She nodded l

  • Claimed by my Husband ruthless Uncle    Chapter 74: The Rival Family Exposed

Josie’s POVI closed my eyes and let Alexander’s heartbeat lull me to sleep. Tomorrow we would keep building the life we had fought for. Tonight I just let myself feel it. We had won. And no one was ever going to take that from us again.Morning came with sunlight cutting across the penthouse floor. I woke up before Alexander and slipped out of bed careful not to wake him. Lily was already in the kitchen with the nanny laughing over a bowl of cereal. I kissed the top of her head and told her I had one last thing to finish today. She just nodded and went back to her drawing like she knew grown-up stuff was happening but didn’t need the details.I went straight to Alexander’s safe. The same one where I had found those twenty-year-old photos of me. The files were still there in a thick envelope at the bottom. I pulled them out and spread them across the desk. Pages and pages of proof. Bank transfers. Private messages. The original plan for the car accident that was never meant to just ta

  • Claimed by my Husband ruthless Uncle    Chapter 73: Hunt for the First Love

Josie’s POVWe stayed like that for a long time after, tangled together with the city lights flickering through the windows. Alexander’s breathing finally evened out against my neck and I felt the last of the tension leave his body. I ran my fingers through his hair until he fell asleep still inside me. For once I didn’t dream about alleys or knives or fake funerals, I just slept. The next few days stretched into a single focused hunt.Sarah.Alexander’s team picked up her trail in Europe almost immediately. She had used the last of Julian’s cash to fly to Paris then tried to disappear into some cheap apartment on the outskirts. We tracked every card swipe, every hotel booking, every desperate wire transfer. I sat beside Alexander in the penthouse office while his men fed us updates on a big screen. Photos of Sarah looking thinner and more frantic with each passing day. Leo clutched to her side like a shield.“She’s running out of money fast” Alexander said one night his hand resti

  • Claimed by my Husband ruthless Uncle    Chapter 72: Chris’s Mistake

Josie’s POVThe boardroom started emptying out after that. People nodded at us on their way out like they finally understood who ran things now. I was gathering the last of the papers when Chris stepped closer. He waited until Alexander stepped out to take a quick call then moved in smooth as ever.“Josie” he said low enough that only I could hear. “Got a minute? Alone.”I looked up at him, something in his eyes felt off, too eager I nodded anyway. “Make it quick.”He pulled out his phone and tapped the screen. A folder opened with photos. Old ones. Me at my graduation, me holding Lily right after she was born. Me laughing at some family event years ago. The same pictures Alexander had kept in his safe. The ones that proved he had been watching me for twenty years.Chris leaned in closer. “I know what he is Josie. Obsessed. Dangerous. He’s been stalking you since before you even met Julian. I have copies of all these and I can make them public. Or I can make them disappear, you
