Alessandro

We locked ourselves in the office with our eyes fixed on the box where Valeria and Chiara were. Both of them were chatting as normal, and that surprised me a little. While Chiara was sociable, she had a hard time establishing relationships and friendships; she was a very solitary person.

“Stop looking at them and focus on what you need to focus on,” Nicola said, and I snorted. “Come on, they're fine. Valeria would cut someone's head off, and if anything happens, the guards are going to respond.”

I looked at my best friend with an arched eyebrow.

“I'm worried there's resentment over what happened with Danna,” I said seriously. “A large part of the pack was loyal to her in one way or another.”

Nicola nodded but then looked at me seriously.

“There's a clear rule in the pack: someone's mate doesn't touch,” Nicola said. “Danna violated that rule, and forgive me, but all the wolves agreed that what she did was more than treason. We know some are uneasy about Chiara being your mat

ChiaraDante Russo analyzed the blood in the vial with almost reverent concentration, his eyes shining with unhinged ambition. Then, without a word, he turned and walked out of the makeshift lab, taking the precious liquid with him.I breathed a momentary sigh of relief.Soon after, two men entered, their faces grim and their movements jerky. They unstrapped me from the gurney; the relief of the cessation of the burning silver was instantaneous, but weakness came over me. They dragged me without much gentleness towards the trapdoor in the floor.Darkness enveloped me as they pushed me down a narrow flight of dirt stairs. The air in the basement was cold and damp, with a musty smell and something else...blood. My eyes took time to get used to the gloom, but when they did, my heart shrank. There, in a corner, huddled and trembling, was Loreta. Her eyes were swollen, and her face was furrowed with tea

ChiaraWaking up was a martyrdom.A burning pain consumed me, as if a thousand incandescent needles were piercing my skin. It took a second for my mind to register the agony. I opened my eyes, blinking against a blinding light that hung above me. My vision slowly adjusted, revealing a low, makeshift ceiling and air thick with the smell of metal, antiseptics, and something else...something stale.Shit, I thought with dread.I was lying down, but not in a bed. My hands and feet were restrained, stretched out, and exposed. I looked down, and a silent scream choked in my throat. I was strapped to some sort of metal stretcher, but not with ordinary straps. They were thick bars of pure silver, glinting coldly in the light. The burning I felt was pure silver burning my skin, a constant torture that pierced me to the bone. My wolf howled inside me, writhing with every inch of contact. I wanted to scream and wanted to break the bonds, but the pain was too intense. Still, I held on.I would not

ChiaraLorenzo's face transformed into a mask of pure fury. The smile disappeared, replaced by a twisted grimace. Before I could blink, his hand shot up, and the impact of his slap echoed through the cabin. My head turned sharply, and the metallic taste of blood filled my mouth. The physical pain was a cruel reminder of my new reality. But the pain of the soul, the pain of knowing the truth about my mother, was infinitely worse. The burning in my cheek from Lorenzo's slap barely registered in comparison to the pain in my soul. I was kneeling, my hand on my cheek, tears still running, when the cabin door opened again.A tall, slender figure entered, his cold, calculating eyes sweeping the room before settling on me.It was Dante Russo. The infamous wolf hunter approached me with excitement.A slow, macabre smile tugged at his lips, and in his eyes, I saw

ChiaraThe air inside the cabin felt heavy, suffocating, and heavy with the stench of blood and fear. My eyes were fixed on Loreta, her hunched figure, and every mark on her skin was a dagger in my own heart.Anger bubbled inside me, but helplessness tied my tongue for an instant. You have to be smart, bide your time, and wait for the right moment for us to finish off all these miserable fuckers, Selene suggested."Father," I managed to say, my voice barely a whisper trembling with barely contained fury at uttering that word. "Please let her go. She has nothing to do with this. You don't know what you're doing."Lorenzo let out a cold laugh, a sound that ruffled the hairs on the back of my neck. He took a step toward Loreta, and my heart flipped."Oh, Chiara, my dear. I know perfectly well. And yes, she has a lot to do with it. She is one of your new weaknesses. Your affection for her makes you predictable. And weakness... weakness is something I cannot tolerate in my blood."Before s

ChiaraThe office was filled with a tense silence, broken only by the soft hum of the screen. Alessandro and Nicola exchanged a look of grim understanding before turning to Luca. My eyes were fixed on the image of Isabella, Milan's maid, next to Lorenzo.Of all the things we could think of, a faithful member of my father was not one of those. We had underestimated his ties.We had underestimated too much."Look at this, Luca," Alessandro said, pointing to the screen. "Wasn't she a maid in your house?"Luca stepped closer to the screen, his face contorted with a mixture of anger and recognition. His eyes, once full of concern, now burned with a cold fury.“Yes,” my brother said. "She was one of the maids who served my father. She was afraid of him."A dreadful memory surged through my brain, and I felt like vomiting.“Isn't she one of the women my father mistreated and didn't kill?” I asked in disgust. “Of the few that are saved in the videos.”She is; she's one of those women. She's p

  • Claimed by the Mafia Alpha   Chapter 80

ChiaraThe morning sun was already warming the mansion's gardens, but inside the gym, the air conditioning hummed softly, providing respite. The day after Lorenzo's vision, I decided I could not afford the luxury of inactivity. The pain for my grandfather was still there, a constant echo, but the determination to find Lorenzo Moretti burned brighter. And, for that, I needed to be ready.Luca was already there when I arrived, lifting weights with astonishing ease. Watching him train after being badly injured filled me with calm. He was already well and that was what mattered.A smile came across my face, something I hadn't felt for days."I thought the Moon preferred the luxury of her bed," my brother joked, lowering the dumbbell with a soft clink."And I thought big Luca had gone soft with the stroke," I shot back, stretching my arms out to warm up.We began with a light sparring routine.Despite his brute strength, Luca was always surprisingly agile, and my wolf reflexes, though stil
