He woke with a roar of pain and rage when he felt Ember’s attack. He knew instantly that she was being beaten. He hated himself for giving that bastard enough time to steal his mate and he hated himself even more for failing her by not getting to her on time. What else did that bastard have in store for her?
Once the pain subsided somewhat he knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep anymore and he left their room and went to the training field, there he took to beating out his frustrations on one of the heavy bags. The movement and the strain did nothing to soothe his ire and frustration, but it kept him from going completely feral at that moment, so it was something.
He spun round when he heard someone approach and he found Leo walking to him, looking just as frustrated as he was. Without a word, he got into the ring and held his hand up, silently beckoning him to fight him. Ash did just that and together they fought
