16| The Day After

We went back and forth all night, and he ended up spending the night after we both fell asleep from exhaustion. I didn’t get to shower until I woke up, and Dominic insisted on showering with me. I’m sure you can imagine what happened there. 

“I’m disgusted with myself,” I mumbled from my side of the bed where I was getting dressed, not thinking Dominic could hear me from the other side of the room.

“Well, you can’t blame the wine,” he joked and I glared at him over my shoulder before going back to my shoes.

“I was emotional, and you took advantage of the fact.”

“I told you that third time’s the charm and all you had to do was say no one more time.”

“I said no dozens of times last night!”

“Yeah, but we did it like… six times, I think… I lost count
