Bella's POV

My heart raced as I turned to face Alpha Max, desperately searching for a way out of this unexpected confrontation.

I tried to steady my voice, feigning innocence, "Oh, I'm sorry, but you must be mistaken. My name is Isabella, and I'm certainly not the person you're looking for."

Alpha Max's gaze pierced through me, his sharp eyes seemingly dissecting every word I said. "Don't play games with me, Bella," he growled softly, his tone sending shivers down my spine. "I've been observing you all night. You can't hide from me."

Michael's presence beside me was both a comfort and a reminder of the urgency of the situation. I cleared my throat, forcing a nervous smile. "Honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about Alpha. My friend and I were just heading out to get some fresh air. Maybe you've mistaken me for someone else."
