INICIAR SESIÓNRejected. Humiliated. Thrown away like trash. For five years, Beverly lived as the hidden wife of Alpha Killian Knight — a wolfless omega forced to raise his son, wear a veil in public, and endure his cold indifference. She loved him anyway. Until the day his first love returned. In front of everyone, Killian called her nothing more than a housekeeper and nanny. When his ex accused her of abusing their child, he didn’t even ask for the truth. He slapped her, choked her, and locked her in the dungeons. Then he signed the divorce papers… and his new Luna paid someone to make sure Beverly never made it to the airport alive. She jumped from a moving car to survive. The last thing she expected was to wake up in the arms of another Alpha — colder, more dangerous, and far more powerful than the man who discarded her. Alpha Rafaele doesn’t care that she’s wolfless. He doesn’t care that she’s broken. And he definitely doesn’t care about the pack that tried to bury her. Now Beverly has a choice: Disappear quietly… Or rise from the ashes and make every person who destroyed her regret the day they underestimated a rejected Luna. Because this time, she isn’t looking for love. She’s looking for revenge. And the Alpha who saved her might just be the perfect weapon.

Beverly
“What do you mean I can’t go in? I’m here to see my husband.”
The blonde finally looked up from her desk. Her brown eyes coldly scanned me from head to toe. I unconsciously glanced at myself, just to make sure I was good. I was in a pink sundress with flats. Nothing loud or indecent.
“And who is this husband of yours?” She arched a brow. The judgment in her eyes was glaring. It was obvious that she didn’t think that someone like me could possibly marry an important staff member of this corporation. “Are you certain he works here? It’s no news that a lot of paupers lie about working here just to look good for their partners.”
My fingers curled around my dress, gripping it in an effort to control my emotions. The urge to slap the condescension off her face rose so fast it surprised me. I forced it down. “My husband does work here. In fact, he is the…” The words froze at the tip of my tongue.
What was I going to say? My husband is Alpha Killian Knight, your Alpha and CEO of Knight Corporation? You don’t know me because I am merely a stand-in wife whose job is to escort him for external pack events and care for his five-year-old son?
It sounded very dumb, even to my ears. But that was the last five years of my life. I was hidden away like a dirty secret and even in public, I was forced to wear a veil.
Something bitter twisted in my chest. Five years of swallowing my pride, of accepting invisibility, of telling myself it would one day be different. Looking at this woman’s sneer, I realized how thoroughly I had lied to myself.
“Please…” I clasped my hands together in plea, realizing that explaining myself would not help matters at all. “I desperately need to see Alpha Killian. It concerns his son.”
Her frown deepened. “First, it was your husband, now you are demanding to see the Alpha. What next? Are you going to ask about the chairman?”
“I know what it looks like but you have to believe me. Evan got into a terrible fight in school and he’s refusing to see the doctors or even go to the hospital. He locked himself up in his room and has refused to open the door. I have tried everything and…” my voice wavered. “I wouldn’t come here if it wasn’t important, please…”
She didn’t seem convinced. I reached desperately for my bag and took out my phone. I dialed Killian’s number for the umpteenth time but it didn’t even ring. I tried sending him a text but just like the other five I sent earlier, it didn’t go through.
I didn’t even want to consider the possibility that he blocked me. Yet the thought sat heavy in my stomach, cold and familiar.
I was just about to ask if I could borrow her phone when his bodyguards entered the lobby.
Relief washed through me instantly. I hurried over, hoping to talk to him directly but my steps froze when I spotted him, arms linked with another woman, a bright smile on his face.
My knees went weak.
So he was actually capable of smiling. It wasn’t just that cold distant expression on his face every time he saw me. When he gently tucked her hair behind her ear, it felt like a knife thrust into my chest, twisting painfully as she pecked him in return.
He clearly didn’t care what the public thought now. He wasn’t concerned about the dangers of openly flaunting his partner. He didn’t care about what his son thought. Apparently, those only applied to me.
The first guard harshly grabbed my arm, ready to shove me out of the way like I was a pest. I could understand outsiders walking all over me because they didn’t know who I was but these men? We lived under the same roof!
“You’re in the way,” he said without any form of remorse and shoved me. I hit the floor with a thud and let out a wince as pain shot through my arm. They continued walking like nothing happened.
Rage flared hot and sudden. I had spent years accepting this treatment in private. Seeing it happen in public, with his own men treating me like dirt while he smiled at another woman, lit something ugly inside me.
“Killian!” I yelled as he was just about to walk past me. He paused in his movements, those blue eyes darting briefly to me. They widened a little in surprise but he recovered quickly. He didn’t move away from her or even pretend to be guilty at least.
The curly-haired woman slowly moved away from him. Her green eyes narrowed icily at my frame on the floor. Looking at her fully now, I immediately recognized her. How could I not?
Pictures and paintings of her were practically everywhere in the mansion.
She was Killian’s first love. The woman who dumped a four-month-old baby on him and traveled abroad.
Five whole years and now she was back in his arms? Just like that? Is that why he hasn’t been home for the past three days? He was busy keeping his ex-wife company?
I tried to stand as she approached me. My legs still shook, but I refused to stay on the floor like the pest they clearly thought I was.
“Elena,” Killian called after her but she ignored him and crouched over me.
“What was that you called him?” She asked in a deadly calm voice. I opened my mouth to speak but the words wouldn’t come out. She sniffed the air briefly and disdain stained her features. “I assumed that since you had the audacity to call an Alpha by his name, you must at least have some sort of impressive rank…” her eyes darkened. “But I don’t even smell a wolf on you.”
Another jab that hit me right in the chest. I was well aware of my status as a wolfless omega woman, she didn’t have to rub it in. Still, the words scraped against the raw place inside me that had been bleeding for years.
A hand touched her shoulder. “Baby, I told you not to bother with petty things,” Killian gently pulled her away. “She’s not worth wasting your breath over.”
My heart completely shattered at the words. Why did his words even surprise me? It’s not like he was saying anything new. I was just the fool who stupidly fell in love with a man that treated her like shit, believing he just didn’t know the right way to love.
That belief died right there on the lobby floor.
“You have to punish her,” Elena stated. “We can’t have random women calling you disrespectfully every now and then. I am the only one allowed to call you by your name.”
Killian hesitated for a split second. He actually intended to punish me!
I managed to stand, blinking back the tears that stung my eyes. I stared him dead in the eye, even though my world was crumbling apart. I didn’t even care about the several pairs of eyes boring holes into my skin. Something hard and cold was settling in my chest, pushing the old, soft version of me aside.
“I called you twenty times and sent over six messages,” my voice trembled, betraying my emotions. “I came here to look for you but your receptionist wouldn’t even let me in…”
“Did I not tell you never to come looking for me?” He shot back and I blinked. “Are you expecting me to explain myself to you?”
Elena looked between us in confusion. “What is going on here? Do you actually know her?”
I didn’t look away from him, my eyes challenging him to deny me. I wanted to see if he would actually have the guts to tell his ex-wife that he got a replacement a few months after she left and even shared a bed with her.
“Yes, I do know her,” he responded, catching me off guard. My stupid heart fluttered, believing it was going to be different for the first time. He broke eye contact, gazing tenderly at Elena who was already boiling. He pinched her nose with a chuckle. “She’s just our housekeeper and Evan’s nanny.”
My lips parted in shock. Housekeeper? Nanny? That was all I was to him? A tear slid down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away. I have cried enough for this man already. Any more and I will run out of tears.
The last of my foolish hope cracked clean in half.
“Why did you come here, Beverly?” He finally asked. “As you can see, I am very busy.”
I sniffled, refusing to look any more pathetic than I already was. “Evan…” I managed to say. “He got into a terrible fight in school. His whole body is covered in bruises but he locked himself in his room and wouldn’t come out.”
Elena gasped. “Is she talking about my son? How could a five-year-old get into a fight?”
I didn’t even have time to process her words when Killian barked. “Why the hell didn’t you tell me earlier?!”
“I tried…” I didn’t finish the words when Elena shoved me to the ground again and grabbed Killian’s hand.
“Let’s go, we don’t have time!”
They left me there. On the cold floor. Surrounded by people who now saw me as nothing more than a lying housekeeper who had dared to call an Alpha by name.
I stayed down for three long breaths, letting the humiliation burn through me until it turned into something sharper. Then I pushed myself up, straightened my dress with shaking hands, and walked out of the building without looking at anyone.
Something inside me had finally broken. And this time,
I wasn’t going to put the pieces back the same way.
Chapter FourBeverlyPain. That was the first thing I felt.It came in waves. Slow at first, like a distant ache, then crashing all at once until it swallowed me whole. My fingers twitched weakly against something soft, unfamiliar.Soft? My brows furrowed as I struggled to open my eyes.I wasn’t on concrete anymore. The scent of antiseptic filled my nose, followed by the faint, rhythmic beeping of a machine. My lashes fluttered open, the bright white light overhead stabbing into my vision. I let out a small wince.Hospital.I tried to move, but a sharp pain shot through my side, forcing a broken gasp from my lips.“Don’t.”Velvet. Deep and commanding.I froze.Slowly, I turned my head toward the source… and my breath caught. He stood by the window, tall and imposing, his broad frame half-cast in shadow. The light from outside carved sharp lines along his face, highlighting a strong jaw, high cheekbones, and eyes so green they could pass for a forest.I gulped. Waking up to an insanely
Chapter ThreeBeverlyThree unbearable days went by and all I saw was darkness. No food. No water. Barely fresh air to even breathe.I was sure everyone had forgotten about me and I was going to die in this hellhole when light blinked from a distance.I raised my head slowly as the sound of approaching footsteps filtered into my ears. I reached for the wall, using it as support to pull my weight up. I was barely standing when three figures appeared in front of the cell. The cell door opened and he stepped in.“Beverly, are you okay?” Killian rushed to me like he was totally unaware of this entire situation. A situation he put me in. He tried to touch me but I flinched away. Hurt flashed in those blue eyes and I almost laughed at the irony. The anger I had nurtured in the dark for three days rose up so strong it nearly choked me. He had the nerve to look hurt.“Evan just woke up and has been asking for you,” he started.I see…He searched my face for some sort of reaction but there was
Chapter TwoBeverlyA slap met me the moment I stepped into the room. My head snapped to the side, pain shooting through my left cheek at the same time.Elena stood in front of me with bloodshot eyes. I held my cheek in confusion, staring back at her. I get she was emotional about her son lying in bed, covered in bruises but that was not enough reason for her to hit me.“How long have you been abusing my son?” She demanded.“What?” I blurted. A puzzled expression formed on my face as shock overrode the pain. “What are you talking about?”“Do you think I’m stupid?” she fired. “Look at him! Look how scrawny he is! How can a fragile kid like him get into a fight?!” She was practically screaming at me at this point. I was still confused. I didn’t understand what made her draw such a terrifying conclusion.I dropped my hand from my cheek. Heat rose in my chest — not fear, not shame. Anger. Clean and rising. “Why would you say such a thing? I love Evan and have always treated him like my ow
