Alder's POV

"Hello, ma", I grunt out, and she starts to shriek.

"Doctor, doctor!" I close my eyes again, hoping to slip back into a coma and stay with my mate for a while longer. Doors slam, and footsteps thunder up and down the hallway. I sigh and retry my attempt to get back my mate.

Someone grabs my face and peels back my eyelid. I look up into a bright flashlight, and I move around my eyeball to avoid the flashlight.

"Thank moon goddess", a voice I don't recognise sounds out, and immediately the hand lets go of my eyelid. I'm repeatedly blinking to regain my 10/10 vision.

"He seems stable for now" I look at the woman dressed in a lab coat, and she looks at me with a hopeful look.

"Do you know who you are? "

"Yes"

"Can you tell me your name?"

"My name is Alder."

My mom releases a guttural cry of relief as she collapses into my father's arms.

"Do you recognize them as well?" she asks, gesturing to my parents

"Frankly, you're the only one I don't recognize in here" She blushes in emb
