Laylah didn't seem to comprehend why her request was granted. Darius occasionally showed kindness and consideration, but when it came to Lucius, he had a heart of stone.

At the time, in Darius' opinion, that was the appropriate move to make. The least they could do for her at this time was to make her feel at ease and refrain from being aggressive because he knew she had many questions and needed answers.

Layla was still holding the phone and was in disbelief that her request had been granted.

Who on earth buys a customized gold mobile phone for a random female? Her name was written on the back. She could spend hours drooling over it but she knew they were probably timing her.

So, quickly, she snapped out of her daze and switched to her contacts. Then she found Fey's number and dialed right away.

Fey picked almost immediately.
