I stared deep into his eyes. I was furious but deep down, I wasn't sure how true those words were. I loved Lorenzo but I could feel us slowly drifting apart.

However, despite everything that had happened between Dante and me, I was glad that I could stand up and defend him.

If anything, it made my guilt more bearable. I had so much more to do if I was ever going to forgive myself for cheating on Lorenzo.
