Elizabeth’s POV

The ringing of my phone pulls me out of my reverie and I pick it up to answer.

“Oh, okay. I’ll be down in a minute.” I hang up, slip on my slippers and head downstairs.

Susan’s here.

I already asked Ethan if she could come over and he said, “Your friend can come here anytime, it’s your home, Spitfire.”

However, I don’t know why, but thinking about his words makes my heart warm up a bit. Why’s that?
