Chapter 7

Emma’s P.O.V.

I was dressed in a red gown; it was the dress of all slaves. I was ordered to make coffee for the master.

“Prepare a cup of coffee and go to the room. Master is waiting for you.” I listened quietly. The night's darkness was not fully lifted. I put the cup on the tray and walk to the direction. This was a long corridor in a palace. At the end of the corridor, I was alone and that’s what I wanted. I looked around and found a large open window. I put the tray on the ground and jumped out of that window. Without looking back, I ran toward the main door.

I was about to leave when I heard a voice behind the gate.

As I turned to the sound, I breathed a sigh of relief. "Who are you?" "Turning to the sound, I looked at the face and smiled.

"I am a maid here! Mam Taresa has sent me something important.” I replied in a low voice.

"Oh she sent you to enter the forest? Alright, you have to go right." He advised me and my heart jumped with happiness. Once I step out, they cannot catch me.

I nodded and stepped out. The outer wall was surrounded by large trees. I thought for a moment and started climbing the tree. The tree was not so tall. In the darkness of the night, I jumped to the other side of the wall.

There was quite a high wall. Immediately after falling to the ground, I received a shock. But soon I regained my senses. I stayed still for a few minutes. In front of my eyes, a wide field was spread far and wide. Then after some thought I determined the path. There was a connection between the paved road and the dirt path.

However careful I was, the garden kept falling on the waterlogged area. I chose a difficultescape route. After walking for a long time, my feet were aching. My stomachcomplained of hunger. During the night, I did not touch the food out of anger.

After traveling far enough, I felt like I had lost my way. Half an hour ago, I passed through this farm and now half an hour later I was still in front of the same farm. I think it will be a hassle. Quickly, I took stock of the surroundings. At a distance of a few feet from it, a fountain flowed. As soon as I saw the water, I felt thirsty. My steps rose towards the bottom of the tube.

I drink the water and walk again.

As soon as I wanted to leave, it was late. Fear, despair and despair formed a new trap. It seemed that I was guiding myself in the wrong direction. After walking for a long time, my legs were weak. There was a wide dirt road between the two fields. It got off the trail and onto this dirt road. There were thick trees on both sides of the road. After walking for a while, I sat down under a tree to rest for a few minutes.

I had left the mansion in the dark of the night and now it was eleven o'clock in the day. What should I do now? I closed my eyes and thought. There was a sudden sense of enlightenment in my surroundings.

"Why are you sitting? Why don't you walk?" Hearing such a familiar voice so close to me, I blinked. My eyes were wide open. Who was it? I aspired to close my eyes, but I couldn't. In front of me, it was the same. The same man from whom I had been so humiliated. From whose reach I wanted to flee. My goal was to escape from his reach. But all my efforts were in vain. From whose fear I escaped, even after all the effort I had put into leaving the mansion, I was still gripped. It felt like I had forgotten to breathe.

"You!" I barely stood up.

"Yes, have you seen a ghost?" My skin was completely yellow. It hurt my stubborn senses. I was reeling inwardly from defeat. In hatred, I turned my head and turned to the other side of him.

Tears gathered helplessly in my eyes, which i barely drank! I was in his cage again.

"No, I don't want this. I will die of humiliation. Please save me god please." I pray in my heart. I felt the hopelessness of my situation. I had to find a way out or I would be here forever. I had to take a chance and hope for the best. I start running blindly without even looking back.
