“Nicolette...she has lost her sight.”
The words that I hear from Dr. Rick began to echo in my head over and over...I couldn’t believe this, my sight, I had lost it and I couldn’t see mine little ones grow up and I couldn’t see my husband grow old with me every day.
When Rick came out of my room, I stood up with my upper body so I wouldn’t be lying down anymore. With trembling hands, I touched my head and my fingers made contact with the bandages that cover my injured eyes.
The door slammed shut and Darren’s scent invades my nostrils...I try to be strong and not fall into pain.
“Hi Darren...”
“Sky...you...you...”
As soon as I hear his voice my heart breaks and the tears, I was holding back start to wet my bandages and cheeks.
“I don’t see you, Darren...I don’t see!”
I feel his strong arms wrap around me

I open my eyes and notice Nicolette's brown hair on my chest. "I have a new job... She lifts her head and points those rubies into my eyes, giving me her usual cheeky smile."Good morning love." I smiled while rubbing her nose."Morning." She said with no emotion.I stretch, and Nicolette tries to pull away, but I grab her by the hips and lock her in my arms.
