Nicolette was gone again when I woke up, and I jumped up to check if she was in the bathroom, but nothing.
I couldn’t sense her presence in the house.
“Damn it!” With a fist, I made the walls shake. That’s enough now; this business of her running away on her own has to stop!
I reached Ivan and Igor’s room, who had woken up after my punch.
“Ivan Igor, I’m going to go find your mom, do you guys want to stay here or go to your uncles?”
“We want to go with you.”
