I nodded my head urgently.

"Yes. I am telling the truth. She did not do anything. She's really not threatening me. Why would she do that to me when she's my good friend?" I laughed lightly as I said this.

Alex shook his head.

"Fine. If that's what you want me to believe, then I am going to believe you. I just hope that you are not lying to me," Alex said.

He looked like he did not fully believe me but he was willing to drop the issue.

I sighed in relief.

"So....what are you doing here?" I asked him.

Alex sighed. A worried look appeared on his face..

"I talked to Mason" he informed me.

My heart started to pound fast against my chest. He talked to Mason? Why? Did he tell anything to Mason?

"You talked to Mason? Why? Is he suspicious of anything?" I asked.

I was really scared of Mason. After all the things that he had done, I knew that he was not someone to be messed with. Who knew how he was going to react if I made him angry?
