Uzair was in his apartment, drinking— bourbon with a cigarette hanging from the corner of his lips, already lit up. Exhaling the fog of smoke in one puff before taking another sip from his snifter glass, he took a glance at his watch.

“Now this tastes better,” muttering to himself, he chuckled. It was barely audible even to his own ear though. Cradling the short stem glass in his hand, however, swirling it lightly, trying to warm the drink it contained, trapping more aroma to enjoy, he sipped. He hummed, satisfied with the taste. It had a more prominent smell to it than before just the way he liked. Inhaling the smoke from the same hand in which he held the glass, he puffed out, the ringlets of smoke swirled while he kept on expelling the fog.
