Audrina’s POV

I turned and rolled on the bed. My head hurts. The sunlight filtering through the curtains felt too bright, like it was punishing me for something I hadn't fully remembered yet.

I groaned softly, turning onto my side and pulling the blanket over my head.

Bad idea.

The moment I did that, the room spun.

“Ugh… “

"Serves you right.” A voice said beside me.

I froze.

My eyes snapped open and my mother stood by the dresser, arms resting on her waist. I wasn't really happy to see her there after the scolding she gave me last night.

It felt weird seeing her again… I mean she was rarely at home. Most times, it was just me and Ethan.

She had a look that said, whatever I was feeling, I deserved it.

“Good morning," Lilian, my mother said dryly.

I blinked, gathering myself. " What… time is it?"

She shrugged. “Late enough to be embarrassed."

"Mom…” I winced.

"Don't ‘Mom’ me," Lilian cut in. “Do you have any idea what you looked like last night?"

The memories rushed back immediately like it was summoned. The party. The argument. Max.

And then…

Ethan.

My stomach twisted.

“You were drunk," Lilian countered. “I thought you were smarter than this."

I bit my tongue until all I tasted was the blood.

“I'm twenty two," I said, pushing myself up slightly despite the protest from my head. “I'm allowed to drink"

Lilian exhaled slowly, rubbing her temples. “That doesn't mean you should lose control."

“I didn't lose control"

Lilian raised a brow. “Didn't you?"

I looked away because it was pointless arguing with mom whenever she had made up her mind.

“Drink this." Lilian said, placing a bowl in my hands. The smell was weird and as weird as the smell was, it was oddly comforting.

“What's this?" I asked

“Something to fix the consequences of your decisions."

I wanted to stick out my tongue at her but I composed myself. The bowl rested on my lip, and I couldn't push it down.

“Ethan made it," She said a moment later

My fingers tightened around the bowl. Of course he did. I remembered last night when he bathed me. His hands on my breast.

The way he had thrust his fingers…

My thighs clenched together at the thought. I needed to stop thinking about it.

“Drink it," Lilian urged again and I knew if she had to say it again, she would push the soup down my throat herself.

I poured the drink into my mouth without thinking about it.

“It's terrible." I mumbled, dropping the empty bowl on the bedside table.

"Good.” Lilian said, carrying the bowl. "At least you can follow basic instructions.”

I rolled my eyes, though there was no real energy behind it.

“I need my phone," I muttered, glancing around. “Have you seen it?"

Lilian paused.

“Your phone?"

I nodded.

“You are asking me where your phone is?"

I frowned. "I might have dropped it.”

"Did you check under the bed? You have a habit of tossing it there.”

I leaned over the edge of the bed and groaned. “Can't find it."

Lilian shook her head, already turning away. " Honestly, Audrina, sometimes I wonder how you function at all”

"Very funny.”

"I'm not joking.”

Lilian pushed the door open, her hands resting on the doorknob.

"I have things to do today,” Lilian continued. " Ethan and I will be out for most of the afternoon.”

I nodded, still scanning the room.

"And since you seem so adamant to behave like an adult," Lilian added, “perhaps you should invite your… boyfriend over “

“Maybe," I said, not wanting to go deeper into it.

“You should," Lilian replied. “It might do you some good."

Then without saying anything else, she left the room. I ran a hand through my hair

"Where is my phone… " I whispered, mostly to myself.

“You're not calling him."

I didn't need to turn around to know who that voice belonged to. Still, I turned.

He was standing by the door like he had been there longer than I realized.

My chest tightened. “I didn't hear you come in."

“I know"

“I need my phone." I said, looking away from him. “Do you know where it is?"

He shrugged. “No."

“You haven't seen it?"

“No."

I frowned. His answers were too short to make me suspicious of him.

If I remembered correctly, I had kept that phone on my table before I slept off.

It couldn't just disappear.

My eyes narrowed slightly. “Really?"

“Really."

I rested both my hands on my hips. “Mr. Cole"

His lips curved up. “I am serious Audrina, you're not seeing him again"

“You don't get to decide that."

His jaw tightened. “I already did"

My jaw dropped.

A small dry laugh came out of me. Fine, we would discuss that another time but for now, I needed my phone.

Just as I wanted to bend to check under the bed, my gaze dropped down to his pocket. The faint outline of my phone beneath his fabric.

But that wasn't what made me pause, it was the way his cock bulged through his trousers.

My mouth watered.

My thoughts betrayed me immediately. I looked away quickly but not before he noticed where my eyes were.

Heat flooded my cheeks.

Somehow, his expression shifted into something dark.

“My phone is with you," I forced the words out of my mouth, ignoring the way my heart was beating.

“Is it?"

“Yes."

A pause. My eyes drifted slowly to where my phone sits beside his hard length.

“Come and get it." Ethan said with a dark smile.

Audrina’s POV A challenge. My breath caught slightly, my fingers curling at my sides as I stared at him. “You're unbelievable," I muttered. Ethan didn't move. "Am I?”I stepped closer anyway. Slowly. I was aware that every inch of distance I closed mattered. His gaze followed me the entire time. “You could just give it to me," I said, stopping just in front of him.He pouted his lips. “I could."My breath shook. " Why are you doing this?”"Because I don't like repeating myself.”"And I don't like being controlled.”He licked his bottom lip and my breath hitched. I hoped he didn't notice it. "Then stop giving me reasons to,” he said.Fine. I blocked all the thoughts coming into my mind and reached into his pockets. And just as my fingers brushed the fabric, his hands closed around my wrist. “Do you really think," he said, caging me in between his arms. “That this will stop me from knowing what you're about to do?"My heart raced. “I just want my phone."“No." He corrected. “Y

  • Daddy’s Hidden Desire    Chapter 3

Audrina’s POVI was about to give a response when he lifted me into his arms. A quiet gasp left my lips. “Ethan…”"Be quiet,” he said, already moving. My heart pounded with every step he took. He went through my room door, straight to the bathtub. "You need to take your bath. You're not sleeping like this."He said it… so composed and suddenly I wanted to break that. I didn't know what possessed me at that moment as I looked at him and said. "Help me.”He went stiff. "What?”My gaze locked on his. "I don't want to do it alone. Bath me, Ethan. Please.”His face showed the thoughts going through his head. His stepdaughter, his forbidden off limits stepdaughter, asking him to strip her and wash her like she was his to touch. His jaw clenched. “Audrina, you're drunk. You don't know what you're…“I know exactly what I'm saying." I cut in. I leaned forward, pressing my chest against his torso, letting him feel the swell of my breasts through my thin top. I didn't know where I suddenly

  • Daddy’s Hidden Desire    Chapter 2

Audrina’s POV“Audrina, answer my fucking question,” Ethan muttered in what sounded dangerously like a calm voice. "Why do you smell of alcohol?” "It's none of your business,” I said, my hands tightening around Max's. On a normal day, I wouldn't talk to him like this. He hated when I confronted him on things that my mother wouldn't accept. Yes, my mum would go ballistic if she found out that her twenty two years old daughter went to a night party. But mum wasn't here so he should cut the act. I motioned for Max to let us leave… the moment we passed Ethan… he ripped away Max’s hand from me. I gasped. “Get out!" Ethan screamed at Max. Max shifted awkwardly. “Sir, I think…” “You heard me." Ethan snapped. Max forced a chuckle and I knew he just did that to lighten the tension in the room. “Look it's my fault alright? She just had a bit too much to drink, okay? It's not that serious…” Max thought he was protecting me by saying that but he was only making it worse. Thing

  • Daddy’s Hidden Desire    Chapter 1

Audrina’s POVWhen my father died, he told me everything I needed to know about life and I decided I wouldn't give a fuck about it. That was what attending this party was about. Not giving a fuck. “Hey, Audrina," Max's voice pulled me back to the loud music echoing in the room. "Come back to me.”His warm hands slid around my waist, turning me to face him. His grin was easy, everything a girl was supposed to want. "You good?”"Yeah. I'm fine,” I said, nodding quickly but if I was going to be damn honest. I wasn't.Even here, surrounded by the noise and people and distraction, my mind kept going back to one person. The least person I should be thinking about. Ethan Cole. My stepfather… though he only came into my life when I was already grown, long after I no longer needed one.He didn't know where I was tonight. He must be thinking that I was in bed sleeping. My chest tightened at the thought. Because if he knew where I was… what I was doing… my grip tightened around my glass.
