“We will do whatever it takes to keep them safe, they are our priority now,” Alessio assured, patting my shoulder. “They will be fine,” he stated.

His words brought a slight calm to my mind, but I couldn't shake off the sense of urgency. If it was really the guys who killed my brother, then we had a lot to do. They were always one step ahead of us, just like the text said. We must move as fast as we can too.

I nodded at Alessio, then turned to the boys. “Let’s move,” I stated, before turning to Xander. “You should keep up with the calmness, else I won’t think twice before gunning you down,” I warned, and headed out of the apartment that was used as their base.

I got to the car and was about to go in when my phone rang. My heart raced as I thought it could be from those guys, but I took a deep breath out when I saw that it was a call from Mari.
