Leon raised his eyebrows hearing her words. Belle’s distaste was rare to see and he wondered which humans who could have make her displeased more than he did.

A man who appeared to be miffed as the servant didn’t allow him to enter the manor was the first to notice Belle’s appearance. He quickly walked toward her, offering her a smile that was very pretentious to her eyes.

“Lady Belle,” the man chimed. “You still remember me, don’t you?”

Belle saw how his eyes looked back at his carriage, pointing how he worked under the authorities who ruled in the land to enforce the laws.

But Belle who looked back at the carriage turned her eyes again to meet the man’s smiling eyes with her polite one. It wasn’t only him who could be pretentious.
