As scheduled, Inara’s diet began the next day. She was surprised when she saw the breakfast Feedwell placed before her. It was a slice of toasted wheat bread with two tablespoons of peanut butter, half a grapefruit and a cup of coffee.
Lemuel had left the house early to attend a business meeting, leaving her with Feedwell so she thought she had hopes of manipulating the man to add a little something extra for her.
“Sir Feedwell.” she said as he sat down to a plate of spaghetti and tomato sauce.
“Madam.”
“Inara please.” she said, smiling at him.
“Okay, Inara.” he said and smiled. Inara liked his jolly nature.
“Is it possible to add a little bit of what you have in your plate for me?”

Inara sped her bike through the streets, taking a longer route that steered off the location of Men’s Aura. The route that cut towards Lemuel’s office would have saved her ten minutes but being spotted on her bike was a risk she wasn’t prepared to take.Being the early hours of the afternoon, there was no traffic and she reached Zee’s place in about forty minutes.Zee met her outside, dressed like her but with black sneakers. Her eyes widened with fear and she stayed there, frozen as the green light came on with Suzy laughing and driving away.It was the blaring horns from vehicles behind her that got her kicking her bike forward and speeding home, only pausing at the gate to be allowed entry into the estate by the security. Inara climbed off the bed and stepped forward. Then she paused as he set the newspaper aside and threw his legs onto the floor. She remained frozen in place, overwhelmed by fear but he beckoned her forward, urging her towards the seat.Inara took nervous steps forward and sat down, casting her gaze onto the floor. Her eyes alternated between the floor and her lap. Lemuel just sat back and watched her without saying anything. He kept watching her as her eyes remained glued to her lap, her body, a bundle of nerves. Still, he watched her, letting his gaze burn her tense body.As he continued his silent unnerving perusal, Inara started to quiver and her eyes began to well up. Lemuel stared at Inara, unable to believe what he was seeing. What was she doing stealing money? Christ! He had told her that if anything was bothering her, she should tell him. Yet here she was stealing money.At first, his temper was stirred up and he wanted to discipline her immediately, thinking that she probably didn’t get enough from last night and was looking for something to cry about but he controlled himself.To the best of his knowledge, she was a liar but he didn’t think that stealing was in her nature. His mind could not just fathom any possible explanation as he stared at her. There had to be a reason. There had better be a good reason.“What are you doing Nara?”“Please, I can explain this.” she said, her eyes wild with fear. “I don’t steal. Ask my dad, ask my mum, ask my sister, I don’t steal. I lie and I’ve promised to stop but I don’t steal. Please don’t spank me, I beg you.”He folded his arms, ready to hear her out. “In less than three words, the money is for what?”

Lemuel wasn’t too surprised about what the Lawyer had just told him. Thanks to being up to speed about what was happening.“I appreciate your consideration Mr. Sam. I’m sorry to hear that. I believe we can work something out. I will need to speak with my Lawyer first. You will hear from him as soon as possible. Hopefully, we can all come to an understanding.”“Noted. Lemuel shut the door behind him and headed for his home office even though, in all honesty, what he really wanted to do was go back into the bedroom and comfort her by retracting the punishment.The agony with which she had thrown herself onto the bed had touched him but he had to force himself not to change his mind. He needed her to have ample time alone and think. He himself had some thinking to do.This whole thing had started with revenge where all he wanted after her accusation, was to make her life a living hell. But along the line somewhere, he had been searching for that vengeful feeling and it seemed to be fading.He shouldn’t care. He should just continue with making her life miserable and thank God that she even had a bratty attitude which would further allow him his goal. Inara had no idea that she had dozed off on the bed after tidying up the bedroom. She had put on the television, switched the channels to an action movie station just to keep her boredom off and mitigate the discomfort of her lock down. Then she had curled herself onto the bed where she watched the TV for a while and didn’t know when sleep overtook her.When the bedroom door swung open, the sound promptly stirred her to consciousness and she found Lemuel stepping inside. She turned onto her left side and hastily crawled off the bed, moving herself over to the wall with her back against it and watching nervously as he gave the room a once over, inspecting her work.“Spick and span. Nice job Nara. You can relax. Good nap?”“Yes sir.”“I hope you won’t throw that kind of fit again.”“No.”“That’s good to know, sweetheart. Feedwell opened the door, allowing Nana to enter with a tray containing Inara’s lunch.Lemuel arranged one of the bedside table at the foot of the bed to allow her place the tray on it. Then they both thanked Feedwell and Nana who acknowledged their appreciation and left, giving them privacy.Lemuel leaned into Inara and deeply inhaled her scent deliberately, making her catch her breath. It always made her entire body hot with sexual excitement when he inhaled her like that and her cheeks flushed crimson.Her meal consisted of One hard-boiled egg, a cup of cottage cheese, five saltine crackers and a cup of coffee.“I’ll leave you to eat while I go get mine downstairs. I let Feedwell add the optional cup of coffee because you have been quite good.”Inara wished he would eat there with her. She had gotten used to eating around him. But at the same time, she thought it was better he left, since she’ll be having her meal standing up. She hated that she could not sit down. She always did.“
