A Fool's Mistake

Fernando’s POV

The second I saw that man put his hands on Michael, my vision turned red.

I was standing in the middle of the supermarket aisle, my body still, my hands relaxed at my sides, but inside?

I was boiling with complete rage.

The man had him pinned against the shelves, gripping his shirt, talking to him in a way that made my blood boil.

He had no idea what kind of mistake he just made.

I didn’t say anything at first. I just moved.

One second, I was watching. The next, my hand wrapped around his wrist, and I squeezed.

His entire body jerked. His fingers twitched where they were gripping Michael’s shirt, and I tightened my hold, feeling his bones shift under my grasp.

I could break them.

Right now.

Easily.

I leaned in, my voice cold and controlled.

“Let. Him. Go.”

The man’s jaw clenched.

For a split second, I thought he might be stupid enough to resist.

But then, with clear reluctance, he let Michael go.

Michael immediately stepped to the side, rubbing his arm as he exhaled sha

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Fernando's Proposition

Ashley’s POVThe night air was warm, wrapping around me like a heavy blanket filled with memories. It was surreal—seeing Tasha, Melody, and Kendra again. We had once been inseparable, ruling the high school hallways as we whispered secrets, borrowed lip gloss, and dreams too big for our small town. Now we were women with careers, lovers, battles won and lost, yet somehow, tonight, the years folded in on themselves. For a few hours, we weren’t FBI agents, lawyers, nurses—we were just girls again, giddy with wine and memories."Remember how Mr. Callahan caught you sneaking into the teacher's lounge, Ash?" Melody giggled, nearly tripping over a crack in the pavement, her curls bouncing like they always had.I laughed, a real laugh that cracked the ice building in my chest. "I was looking for evidence of exam leaks! You all thought I was insane.""That’s because you were insane,” Tasha chimed in, nudging me playfully. “You ran mock interrogations in your basement, remember?""And poor

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Encounter in the Kitchen

Michael’s POV The morning sunlight had spilled too brightly across the bed by the time I blinked my eyes fully open. I groaned as I felt the warmth of the sun rays pouring on my face but I made little to no effort to shield myself from it.The silence in the room was warm and comforting, but the space beside me was cold. Fernando was gone. I could still smell his cologne on the pillow, still feel the ghost of his kiss on my forehead from earlier. I remembered that much even in my half-asleep state—the soft touch of his lips, the tenderness in it. It had felt real. But I didn’t know if it was genuine or just his sick way of reminding me I only belonged to him.I sat up and rubbed my eyes, the silk sheet falling from my chest. The room was quiet, almost too quiet for a house that usually echoed with orders being barked, doors opening and footsteps of guards and staff. This quiet felt... peaceful. It almost didn't feel like it belonged to a Mafia Don.Fernando had left to take ba

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Fernando Seizes Command

Fernando's POV I leaned back in the leather seat, my fingers tapping rhythmically against the armrest as our car eased along the road leading up to my company. Well, what used to be mine. The building’s glass façade reflected the morning sun in long streaks across the windshield. Santiago sat beside me, looking straight ahead, quiet but alert. Marlo and Emilio were in the front seats, Marlo gripping the steering wheel with a nervous sort of calm.“Almost there,” Santiago muttered.I nodded once. “It’s strange,” I said, mostly to myself, “returning to something you built with your own hands, only to be questioned at the gate like a stranger.”As we came up to the front entrance, a metal checkpoint loomed before us. Two security guards stepped out, their hands raised to signal us to halt. They wore the bland navy blue uniforms that had been selected by a man who had no sense of style —Rodger. I clenched my jaw.Marlo lowered the window. “We’re here for a meeting. Let us throug

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Morning Calmness

Fernando’s POVMy eyelids fluttered open to a world that, for once, felt still and peaceful—rare for a man like me. My mind, usually sharp and filled with calculation, was slow this morning, reluctant to chase shadows or obligations. And the first thing I saw wasn’t the ceiling or the sunlight. It was Michael. He lay on his side, the duvet hugging his body, his chest rising and falling in a rhythm that both calmed and wrecked me. A piece of hair had fallen over his brow, obscuring one eye. His lips were slightly parted, pink and soft, as if caught in the middle of a forgotten dream. My chest tightened—not with lust, but something softer and heavier. Longing. Maybe even love, though I wouldn't say the word aloud, not even in the silence of my own mind.I reached out, my fingers light as I brushed the stray hair away. I didn’t want to wake him, but I couldn’t help myself. He stirred under my touch, the slightest wrinkle forming between his brows as his eyes blinked open slowly."Y

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   When the Truth Burns

Michael’s POVI stood in the kitchen in silence, still shaking from the scene at the dockyard. Fernando hadn’t said a word since. He stood across from me now, leaning casually against the counter, his long fingers wrapped around a glass of alcohol. His gaze wasn’t on the drink, though. It was fixed entirely on me.I hated how beautiful he looked even in silence. His shirt was unbuttoned halfway, his hair tousled from the wind outside, blood still drying at the edge of his collar. He was a monster in everyone else’s eyes. But right now, he just looked... tired. He stepped toward me, his palm brushing over my shoulder, fingers trailing down my arm like he was trying to feel my pulse through the skin. His hand lingered on my forearm, warm and firm. “Ashley’s scared,” he said. “She has every right to be.”“Please don’t,” I whispered, brushing him off. “I don’t want to talk about her anymore.”There was a pause, but he nodded. “Alright.”I swallowed hard, then gestured toward the gla

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Monster I Made

Fernando's POVAshley stood frozen, her chest heaving, the gun in her trembling hand slowly lowering. Her wide, stunned eyes were locked on Michael, who had just stepped in front of her like a human shield. My Michael. The one who used to blush whenever I so much as kissed his hand. Now he looked like a soldier returning from battle—scarred, hardened, but alive. He had just confessed to murdering Damian and Andrew. The air grew impossibly quiet. Even Mortis stopped fidgeting. Emilio's fingers loosened on his trigger. Santiago folded his arms, his brows raised slightly. But Ashley—Ashley was crumbling."The fact you're able to talk like this despite murdering two people is my worst nightmare come true" she whispered, her voice raw, like someone had poured acid into her throat. Her lower lip trembled, her entire body vibrating with disbelief.Michael took a step forward, slow and hesitant. "Ashley, please... let me explain."Her eyes blazed. "Explain? Explain what exactly? Th

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   When the Truth Burns

Michael's POVBefore I could get a word out, Ashley grabbed my arm and pulled me with a force that startled me. Her grip was strong, frantic even, as if she were trying to physically pull me away from the chaos I had willingly walked into."Ashley! What are you—""We need to leave. Now!" she snapped, dragging me toward the exit. "I came here to save you before you get caught in a war that has nothing to do with you!""Ashley, wait. Just listen to me for a second—""No, Michael! You listen!"I know she wanted to save me but her actions were very risky, especially when she had done it in front of Fernando. We reached the dockyard's outer corridor and I turned around to see if Fernando was advancing towards us.The cold wind slapped against my skin, harsh and biting, yet it was nothing compared to the fury radiating from Ashley. Her fingers dug into my wrist until I finally pulled free. She turned sharply, hurt flashing in her eyes. She needed to stop or risk getting herself killed in

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Open Wounds

Michael’s POVEverything happened so fast, and yet I remember it like a slow-motion nightmare. The door burst open with a loud, echoing creak that should have sent dread crawling down my spine. Instead, all I felt was a flutter of hope—until Risky staggered forward, his eyes wide with something like fear or betrayal—and then he collapsed. He just fell to the ground. A sickening thud followed as his body hit the floor, his face twisted in shock, blood already pooling around him. My heart froze in my chest.Risky was dead.I turned in time to see Rodger's arm beginning to bleed in where I had mistakenly shot him when we were struggling for the gun.He screamed, gripping it and he stared daggers at me.We had been struggling, clawing at each other, when the weapon went off. I didn’t know if I pulled the trigger or if Rodger had just lost control. He was bleeding.I was panting. And then—"Michael!"My head snapped toward the sound of my name, and there they were.Fernando and Santiag

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Agent on Site

Ashley’s POVThe night air was thick with darkness and secrets.I stood a few yards away from Rodger’s docks, the cold wind biting into my coat. In the distance, the outlines of the warehouse structures were pretty much visible despite being half-hidden in fog. A rusty chain-link fence ran the perimeter, and beyond it, I could see the faint outline of shipping containers stacked on top of each other in the shadows.I took a breath and glanced at my phone.Fernando’s signal was here. Right here.I narrowed my eyes at the map on my screen, zooming in. The blinking blue dot hadn’t moved in the past twenty minutes. That meant one of two things: either Fernando was lying low, waiting to strike, or he was already inside."You sure this is the place?" my driver asked, twisting slightly in his seat to look back at me. His voice held a kind of innocent worry I hadn’t heard in years. It was genuine with unfiltered concern. It was different from the voice calculated men used when trying to
