Michael’s POV

The man and I stood inches apart in the middle of the school parking lot filled with cars, SUVs, and parents pretending not to stare.

“You stepped on my shoe and instead of apologizing, you decided to escalate” he repeated, his voice low and controlled.

“I didn’t escalate anything. You barked an order” I replied evenly.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

“You should learn respect,” he said.

“I respect people who earn it,” I answered.

A few teachers were beginning to glance nervously in

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Sudden Arrival

Michael’s POVThe moment my hand touched the cool metal of Theo’s gate, I felt the weight of what I was doing settle heavily in my chest. This wasn’t surveillance from a distance, this was intrusion.I inhaled slowly, straightened my shoulders, and pressed the access override I had already prepared on my phone. It took less than three seconds for the gate’s electronic lock to click open.Either Theo trusted his security system too much or he believed no one would dare test it.I walked in casually, shutting the gate behind me with controlled calm. The gravel path crunched softly beneath my shoes. The garden was pristine with trimmed hedges, beautiful stone features, and a small water installation that reflected the morning sun.Everything about this place screamed power.A soft voice interrupted my thoughts.“Good morning, Michael.”I turned.Mrs. Alvarez from two houses down stood near the edge of her property, trimming her roses. She was in her late fifties, warm smile, observant e

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Watching the Target

Michael’s POVI had not slept well the night before.Theo Park’s house stood directly across from ours like a silent evil. Even in the early hours of the morning, before the suburban town had properly woken, his compound looked perfect.I stood by the living room window with a mug of coffee that had long gone cold in my hand, my eyes fixed on the faint glow from one of the upstairs windows in Theo’s house. I was using my binoculars to watch and I wasn’t going to take any chances. If Theo was hiding something, I would find it, because if he went down, if I could expose him, prove whatever shady business the director suspected then he would be arrested, removed and gone from my life, Henry’s life and everything could go back to how it was before.I adjusted the googles in my hands, watching the window but there was nothing.Theo was either clean, which I didn’t believe for a second, or he was extremely careful.I exhaled slowly.“Come on, make a mistake” I muttered under my breath.Th

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The New Neighbor

Michael’s POV The initial shock didn’t last long, but it left a weight in my chest. Theo Park was standing on the doorstep, staring at me with that same calculating smirk he had worn at school. Ashley’s hand rested lightly on my arm, but I could feel her tension. She wasn’t usually intimidated, but this man was different. There was something magnetic about him and not in a good way.I cleared my throat and forced a polite smile, holding the cake box like a shield. “Evening. We thought we would welcome you to the neighborhood” I said as if i was reading from a script. Theo’s eyes flicked to Ashley briefly before returning to me. “A cake, how thoughtful,” he said, the words sliding out in that insufferable tone that suggested he was mocking me without even trying.Ashley stepped forward quickly. “Michael had this idea,” she said smoothly, her tone polite but firm. “We just wanted to introduce ourselves.”Theo tilted his head, examining me again. “I remember you, from the school

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Across the Street

Michael’s POVThe office felt quieter than usual when we finally shut our laptops.Ashley leaned back in her chair and stretched. “I hate missions without clear edges.”Nick snorted from across the table in the small conference room we had claimed for ourselves. “You just hate uncertainty.”“I hate walking blind,” she corrected.I closed the file in front of me.The name, Theo Park, alone was enough to ruin my appetite.“You’re thinking about him again,” Nick said.“I never stopped" I replied.Ashley studied me carefully. “You’ve dealt with worse men.”“That’s not what bothers me.”Nick’s brows lifted. “Then what does?”I leaned back slowly, staring at the ceiling.“It’s Henry” I replied.Nick’s expression shifted immediately while Ashley’s posture softened.“He really likes Kim" I said.Ashley nodded. “That’s not a crime.”“No, but her father is a problem” I agreed. Nick clasped his hands together on the table. “Allegedly.”I shot him a look and he shrugged. “We don’t have pr

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Mission Assignments

Michael’s POVThe office building looked ordinary to anyone passing by, just another corporate company but inside ot was a war room.Ashley adjusted her blazer as we stepped through the revolving doors. Nick walked ahead of us, already scanning the lobby.“You’re still brooding,” Ashley muttered under her breath as we approached security.“I’m not brooding” I replied.“You are. You’ve been clenching your jaw since we left the house.”“I’m not clenching—”Nick shot me a look. “You are.”I exhaled sharply. “Fine. I’m still annoyed” I replied. We stepped into the elevator, and the doors slid shut with a quiet hum. As the numbers changed, my thoughts replayed the scene at the school again. That piece of shit. The elevator stopped and the doors opened to a busy office.Ashley and Nick headed toward their shared workstation while I walked toward mine.“Michael!”I didn’t even need to look up to know who that was.Ramon, my assistant was in his early twenties, brilliant, efficient and unf

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Lines We Don’t Cross

Michael’s POVI didn’t like him. That was the first honest thought that replayed in my head the entire drive home. Not dislike in the casual sense or irritation or ego bruising but it was something deeper. The way that obnoxious Mr. Park had stood, the way he measured every word, the way his eyes assessed and categorized me in seconds was like a big sting.I gripped the steering wheel tighter than necessary as I pulled into our driveway.Six years, six peaceful years, and one arrogant, perfectly tailored man in a school parking lot managed to crack the surface in under five minutes.I exhaled sharply and shut off the engine. For a second, I just sat there thinking.I wanted to hit him, that was the truth. He had talked down to me, as if I were beneath him and I hated that he might be right about that last part.I stepped out of the car and walked toward the house. The familiar scent of our lawn, the trimmed hedges, the quiet hum of suburban calm, all felt different now.Inside, Ashley
