Raina's point of view

Was Dorian really standing in front of me?

He came... after all these months?

“Dorian?” I called out, my voice cracking.

“Raina, I’m sorry I didn’t show up like I promised,” he said quietly.

Goddamn it! I could still remember him telling me he’d come see me every three days. Was this his idea of keeping a promise?

“Dorian, is this really you?!” I screamed, my voice rising with every syllable.

“Raina, I can explain,” he said, trying to stay calm.

“You can explain what, you crazy piece of shit?” I snapped. “That you’re sorry you couldn’t show up? That you disappeared without a word?!”

He tried stepping closer, but I hissed, cold and sharp, “Don’t. Take one more step, and I swear, fucking stop right there!”

“Raina, it’s a long story... but I swear, I’ll explain everything,” he said, full of remorse.

“Imagine I had died, Dorian,” I shot back, eyes burning. “Who the hell would you be explaining to then?!”

“I was sure nothing would happen to you... that’s why,” he sai

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 48

Raina's point of view "Why is my father's image also being tarnished, even though he's dead?" I asked, my curiosity piqued."Maybe they just didn't like him," Dorian replied casually."But what wrong did he even do?" I pressed. "This was supposed to be about me alone.""Don't worry, Raina. You'll get to know soon," he said, brushing it off again. But I needed answers. I needed to know why Dorian kept hiding things from me.I decided it was time to tell him what Commander Leonardo had told me three months ago."My father never told me he was an Alpha," I began slowly."And so?" Dorian responded, unimpressed."Commander Leonardo said my father was supposed to be the Alpha King."That hit him. He was visibly stunned."Leonardo told you that?" he asked, now curious and a bit tense."Dorian, try to open up to me," I pleaded. "There's no need to start a fight with Commander Leonardo."I could already see that he might do something harmful to Leonardo.I wasn’t supposed to let Dorian hear t

Raina's point of view "What then should I call you?" I asked the moment I turned around."An Alpha who couldn’t keep his promise?""I know I didn’t keep my word," he said, "but that’s because I didn’t want you to know about my plans.""And what was so bad about letting me know?" I asked, bitterness lacing my voice."It would’ve made you think I was cruel," he answered calmly."And what do you think I’m thinking now?" I shot back coldly. He took a slow breath."The same," he replied.Good. At least he already knows where he stands in my mind."But it was for your own good," he went on, "and in the end, it helped; didn’t it?""I’ve been hearing reports... how you've grown into the warrior you always dreamed of becoming. I’m proud of you," he said."I know my decision wasn’t in vain."Oh, so now he wants to take the glory?"It was my sacrifice. My hard work that got me this far," I said firmly."I know," he nodded. "You’ve proven yourself a warrior, and I’m truly happy for you. I heard

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 45

Raina's point of viewHow I managed to defeat Gerald, and then take down two other men who rushed at me immediately after, was a surprise even to me.I stood tall, proud of myself and the person I had become, as the combat instructor raised my hand and declared me the winner. The crowd erupted in cheers, shouting my name over and over.I had just defeated the strongest fighter in the camp. Unbelievable, right? At that moment, Mr. Lee jumped into the ring. And for the first time since I’d known him, I gave him a tight hug.I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude, for all the time he’d taken to train me, to believe in me.If it hadn’t been for him, always encouraging me, always guiding me, I doubt I’d have been able to face Gerald, let alone the others who followed.“Thanks a lot,” I said, smirking as I pulled away from the hug.“You don’t have to say it,” he replied, smiling back."I'm so happy I met you," I said when he asked."How did you manage to beat that guy?"I smiled.

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 44

Raina's point of view I moved into the fighting arena with fear written all over me, and Mr. Lee followed closely behind. He had left me with no other choice but to accept the fight.I had refused to go at first, which made him give me two options—either I quit training with him or accept the fight. With no other options left, I gave in.He booked the fight, and I still can't imagine myself going up against Gerald—the same Gerald who often leaves his opponents with injuries they remember for the rest of their lives. As I walked inside, I could hear the crowd roaring, the scary rhythm of drums echoing all around. Finally, I stepped into the ring. The moment I entered, I heard the crowd gasp in shock. I could almost hear their thoughts: What is a woman doing in the ring? But do I have a choice?Mr. Lee wants me to face tough opponents to prove if I’m strong enough to hold my ground when I eventually leave the camp.I couldn't stand the gaze of the people staring at me, but notwithstand

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 43

Raina's point of view I know it's about time I learn to stand up for myself.Enough is enough—I'm tired of this asshole thinking he can toy with me.“Look who's trying to command me,” he said mockingly.“Are you seriously just going to stand there and ignore everything I said?” I snapped, anger burning in my chest at his arrogance and lack of manners. He looked me up and down, then folded his arms across his chest with a smug grin.“Like I said before—what are you going to do about it?”Hell no. This isn’t working.I really thought that sounding tough, balling my hands into fists, would make him back off. I thought maybe… just maybe, he’d feel a little fear. But clearly, I was wrong. If I’d known it’d go this way, I wouldn’t have bothered trying to act tough in the first place.Frustrated, I grabbed my mop again, ready to just ignore him and continue cleaning—when suddenly, he picked up the bowl of water beside him and dumped it all over me.Holy shit. This man has officially crossed
