Kaylee

I sat still, watching as the hospital cleaners came in to sweep up the mirror particles scattered across the floor.

The shards glinted under the harsh fluorescent lights like shattered pieces of me—mocking, glittering, reflecting my brokenness back at me.

How did this happen?

How did my life become this?

The stupid cleaners weren't exactly quiet. Their rubber soles squeaked against the tile with every step, and their whispering voices weren’t whispers at all.

“Isn’t that the supermodel who fell on the red carpet?”

“I mean, models fall all the time, but she just had to overexaggerate hers, right?”

“Plus she's been a total bitch. She slapped Monica across the face last night—such a wrench. But, she's so ugly now, even I feel pity.”

They giggled. As if my entire existence had become their little punchline.

I, Kaylee Kingsley, was ugly. How was that even possible?!

Slowly, I raised my hand to touch my face. My hand trembled as it drew closer. My stomach tightened. The weight of

Sebastian“Veuillez envoyer le projet architectural dès que possible.”I ended the call without waiting for a reply, jaw tight as I tossed the phone onto the desk. The device bounced once, landing askew on a stack of papers—mocking me with its silence. It had been three days already, and my father still hadn’t gotten back to me. I was growing more impatient with each passing day. I still wasn’t ready to tell him the real reason I wanted to leave the society as soon as possible.I wasn’t even sure if there was a way out—but there had to be. My dad got me into this mess, and he was going to get me out.Because if he ever found out the true reason I wanted out, he’d make sure I never left.God… Just when things were finally turning around, when everything was actually alright. I ran my hand through my hair. I felt so confused, and it was even harder keeping it a secret from Olivia—hating how I had to lie to her, telling her everything was fine when, in truth, it was far from it.Each ti

OliviaThe room was quiet—only the sound of my keypad clicking echoed through the space. It was 2 a.m., and my inbox was overflowing with messages. I had hired a manager to represent me as the Masked Model, but I never expected things to blow up this fast. It had barely been a month and I’d only walked three shows ever since, but my new socials as the Masked Model were blowing up.The room smelled faintly of vanilla and paper from Sebastian’s earlier notes. The soft hum of the heater mixed with the rhythmic clicking of my keyboard, filling the silence in a strange, comforting way.Brands were lining up for partnerships. They all wanted me to walk in their shows. The deals I was landing were the kind most models spent their entire careers chasing.I glanced over at Sebastian. He was sleeping peacefully beside me, and I smiled. The curve of his lips, the way his chest rose and fell with each breath—it calmed me. I didn’t want him getting involved—at least, not yet. I planned to tell him

Philip“Out of all the places in Manhattan you picked a strip club to meet? Really?” I glanced at the half-naked women dancing on poles—it wasn’t a bad view though. The air reeked of perfume and expensive desperation. Neon lights flickered above, casting seductive shadows across velvet booths and chrome stages. Bass throbbed through the walls like a heartbeat you couldn’t escape.“If you don’t like it, maybe take your eyes off that girl’s ass.”“Barista silver, I love the view. This is my kind of scenery.” My grin stretched wide as I leaned back, taking a drink from the table, my eyes never leaving the stage. The whiskey burned down my throat, but it was a good burn—the kind that reminded you you were alive.“We have important business to discuss.”That, I agreed with. But still—why a strip club? I was genuinely curious. The place was loud, full of distractions and gyrating thighs. Definitely not where you'd hold sensitive conversations—unless you didn’t want anyone hearing at all.“B

SebastianThe car hummed softly as my driver waited for my next instructions. Outside, the street was empty—too calm, like the kind of calm that comes before a storm. I couldn’t believe I was about to do this, but it had to be done—and the only chance of getting out of this mess was talking to Charles Lancaster. The silence outside was almost mocking. Pale streetlights cast long shadows across the cobbled road, and the gates of Lancaster Manor loomed in the distance like the jaws of some sleeping beast.I gave my driver a sign to drive into the estate—Lancaster Manor. The familiar building up ahead brought a wave of nostalgia, curling through my gut like smoke. But even that couldn’t drown out the bitter truth—nothing beats staying the hell away from my father. We stopped in front of the huge mansion, and my driver opened the door for me. I got out, adjusted my suit jacket, hands in my pockets. The chill in the air bit at my neck, I hesitated for just a split second before walking in.

Kaylee She hurriedly sat next to me, pushing the hair from the back of my neck.“Oh Kaylee, how are you feeling?” she asked gently, her eyes showing warmth that disgusted me.My head stayed bent. I didn’t want them to see my face. I couldn’t bear their looks—not sympathy, not horror. She tucked another strand of hair behind my ear.“Are... you okay now?” she whispered.I was far from okay, but I wouldn’t let her see me as weak or fragile. The thought of lifting my head and showing them my face made my stomach turn.Olivia would finally have everything. What was I saying? She already had everything. And now... I had nothing.Philip watched me as I slowly lifted my head for them to see my face. I didn’t really care what he thought, but I just needed to look good enough so we could stay together—and I could swindle everything right from under his nose.Olivia, on the other hand, had finally gotten her wish. Even when she pretended to be my best friend, I knew she envied me. Secretly,

KayleeI kept hearing annoying voices, but everything was dark. I couldn’t see a thing, yet I knew exactly where I was—the hospital. The sharp scent of sanitizers lingered in the air, clinging like a second skin, sterile and suffocating. I could hear nurses whispering nearby, their voices low, urgent, as if they were talking about me like I wasn’t even there.I tried to move, but I felt stuck. What the hell? I tried lifting my hand to rip off the bandages, but it was like a boulder was weighing it down. Every inch of me felt heavy—sluggish, like I’d been buried under wet concrete.“Miss Kingsley, please don’t move!” came a panicked voice. What the hell were they doing to me?“Let me go. I need to get out of here...And get this—whatever it is—off my goddamn face.”“Miss Kingsley, I need you to stay still.”“Can someone get me the fuck out of here? I have a runway to be on right now!”The nurse didn’t say anything. The room fell into silence. Thick. Tense. Like the air itself didn’t kn

SebastianHolding Olivia was like coming home—warm, familiar, and just a little addictive…okay a lot.She smelled amazing, and I wasn’t letting go anytime soon. The scent of her filled my lungs, calming the chaos constantly raging in my mind. I hadn't realized how starved I was for this feeling."I missed you so much, Olivia."She pulled back from my embrace. "What was so urgent that you couldn’t tell me, what kind of husband leaves his wife for days like that?" Her voice was soft as a pout formed on her lips. I had expected a scolding tone, maybe even a full-blown lecture, but instead, I heard a sweetness I could never get used to. It was the kind that chipped away at my walls. Her captivating hazel eyes stared back at me, but they held worry. Worry about what, exactly? Was it Philip? Or did they contact her? No… no, they wouldn’t dare. I made sure of that."Are you alright?" I asked in a quiet voice, laced with concern, the weight of the unspoken questions tightening in my chest."

OliviaI stood there, watching as they took my best friend away in the ambulance. Dark satisfaction coursed through my veins—warm, molten, almost addictive. Sirens howled in the distance, fading slowly as the ambulance disappeared around the corner.Well, I got a little help from a certain four-eyed apprentice. Turns out Kaylee had been torturing the poor soul for a year and a half now. But I didn’t expect the reaction from Virexil Noir to come this soon, though.Oh well. The earlier, the better, I suppose. I couldn’t wait to see what her face would look like afterwards—but that is only the beginning. That was just the matchstick.I was going to take every shade of success from her and bring her down to nothing. Not just scratch her ego, no—grind it to dust. That self-confidence she prided herself on so much… let’s see how that holds up once her face recovers. As I stood there, reminiscing on my victory like it was some sweet childhood memory, a voice came from behind me."Excuse m
