Lilith's Pov

I didn’t even know where the courage came from.

The courage to sit beside my so-called husband, watching another woman almost naked in front of us.

I wanted to throw the glass in my hand. I wanted to scream. I wanted to destroy everything near me. But I stayed calm. I kept my face cold, like nothing touched me.

And I had no idea why I told her to touch him.

Maybe I was testing something. Maybe I just wanted to feel numb. But it wasn’t jealousy. Not even a little.

She was still standing there, unsure. Then suddenly, she started walking toward Killian.

She hesitated at first, but then moved like she had done this many times before. Her hips swayed slowly, almost like she was trying to seduce both of us.

When she reached him, she placed her hand gently on his chest.

Her fingers moved slowly, like she was trying to make love to him with just her touch.

I just stared at the scene in front of me, my insides twisted with every second. Not because I loved him. I didn’t. At least, I didn’t think I did.

It was the disrespect.

Bringing someone into our home. Into a space where I sleep. Where I live.

He had no shame. And I had no pride left to protect.

I stood up quietly. I placed my glass of whiskey down on the table.

“You can enjoy yourself with the girl,” I said, my voice calm, but cold.

Then I turned to her. “You danced awfully, by the way.”

I didn’t wait for their reactions. I walked out.

The moment I closed the door behind me, my chest broke open.

I started to cry.

Tears poured down my face, and I didn’t care if anyone saw.

I kept walking toward my room, wiping my eyes with the back of my hand, but it was no use.

Then I heard a door open behind me.

I turned my head slightly. It was the girl. She was rushing out of Killian’s room. She looked embarrassed of what just happened, I'm pretty sure it was Killian that sent her away.

I didn’t say anything. I didn’t stop her. I just watched her go.

But in my head, I kept thinking, what if I hadn’t walked in? What if my father hadn’t called me earlier?

Would he have taken her to bed?

While I was sitting alone in my room?

Crying?

Waiting for nothing?

I hadn’t called anyone. It was too early for me to start complaining or becoming a burden to anyone.

And yet, Killian had already started messing around with other women.

I stormed into my room, slamming the door behind me.

The first thing I did was grab a glass.

Then the bottle of whiskey.

And I drank.

I drank and drank and drank.

For how long? God knows. I just kept pouring and drinking, like it would drown out the ache in my chest.

Then the door opened.

I didn’t have to look to know who would open my door without knocking.

My husband. Killian.

I didn’t even turn to him.

I kept my back to him and said, “What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be having fun? I thought you'd last longer… or are you one of those men who can’t?”

I heard his footsteps behind me.

His voice was sharp. “I told you to stay away from me. What sort of drama did you just pull in front of my guest?”

In my head, I whispered, the audacity.

I turned slowly to face him. My voice came out steady, but my heart was boiling.

“Your guest? Seriously, Killian? I am your wife. Nothing you do can erase that. And for the record, I didn’t even want to see your face. I only came to deliver the message my father asked me to give you.”

He huffed. Loud. Bitter. “Oh really? You don’t want to see my face? Look at yourself.”

I rolled my eyes. “I don’t have time for this, Killian. Say whatever you want and leave my room. I won’t cross your path. Just let me be.”

That was when he started walking toward me.

Before I could step back, he grabbed my wrist.

“Killian! What are you doing?” I shouted, trying to pull away.

But he didn’t say a word.

He dragged me out of my room. His grip was tight and almost Painful.

“Let me go!” I yelled, struggling, but he was stronger.

We stopped halfway through the hallway.

His voice was cold. “Don’t ever cross this path to my room for any reason. Do you hear me?”

I laughed bitterly. “I’ll be glad to. You didn’t even have to say it. That was my plan all along.”

He huffed again, furious.

I was still struggling, then he let go of my wrist which caused me to lose balance.

I almost fell, but instead of hitting the floor, I landed against someone.

A firm chest.

Strong hands caught me.

I looked up to see who it was.

The man looked down at me with soft eyes. “Whoa, whoa. What’s going on here?”

I quickly stood up, brushing my hands against my dress.

Then I looked at him again.

The man who caught me.

He looked almost like Killian.

Same sharp jaw. Same cold eyes. Same proud posture.

But… softer.

Not in a gentle way. Just… less mean.

Then I heard Killian's voice.

“What are you doing here?”

The man raised his brow. “Is that how you greet your brother?”

Brother?

I blinked.

Oh.

That’s why they looked alike.

My mind spun.

So this is Killian’s brother.

He was broad like Killian. Tall too. But just a bit shorter, but definitely taller than me.

Killian didn’t respond. Just glared.

His brother turned to me. “And who do we have here?”

Before I could speak, Killian snapped, “Don’t ask stupid questions. You know who she is.”

I stood there, staring at both of them.

Why were they talking like I wasn’t even there?

Like I was invisible?

Like I was a joke they both shared?

Then the brother gave a small smirk.

He looked me straight in the eyes.

“Oh… is that our perfect, murderous, killer bride?”

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 41

Lilith’s Pov The dining room was so quiet, you could hear the spoons hitting the plates. No one moved. No one even chewed. After Nolan told Maya to watch her tongue, I couldn’t hold back anymore.“You don’t get to say that to me,” I said softly, but firmly. My voice shook, but I meant it.Maya scoffed. “I just asked a question, jeez.” She stabbed a piece of fish with her fork and shoved it into her mouth like she hadn’t just torn me apart with her words.I blinked back the tears. But they came anyway. Warm. Sharp. Silent. My throat burned from trying to hold it all in.“You don’t talk to her that way, Maya,” Nolan snapped. “She’s your brother’s wife. You don’t get to disrespect her like that.”Maya rolled her eyes, lips twisted into a smug smile. “Why are you acting like this, Nolan? It’s just a question.”“No. It’s a question you should never even think, let alone say out loud.”She laughed. “Her husband didn’t complain, so why are you complaining?”I felt that in my chest. Heavy. C

Lilith's Pov One minute, Killian told me his parents were coming. The next, Rose said they were already here.Already? For crying out loud, they were too early. What was I going to do now?How was I supposed to face them? They didn’t even attend our wedding. The only people there were business partners or strangers in suits. Not family. Not love. Nothing real.I didn’t know what to wear. So, I picked the best casual dress I could find.Something simple, but nice. First impression matters. After dressing, I grabbed my phone and called Emily.“Oh my God,” I said as soon as she picked. “Killian’s family. They’re here.”“What?” she sounded half-asleep. “What happened?”“I’m scared,” I confessed. “I don’t even know how to talk to them.”Emily laughed a little. “Just be yourself. Don’t let them step on you. But also don’t expect the worst. They might even be nicer than Killian.”“I hope so,” I mumbled. After ending the call, I stared at myself in the mirror. My eyes. My scar. My tired face

Killian's PovI was in my office, typing and typing, but my mind wasn’t focused. My thoughts drifted back to Lilith and what we did. That kiss we shared. I ran a hand through my hair, frustrated. What did I even do? Why did I do it?I didn’t have an answer. It just happened. And now, I was regretting it. But I couldn’t lie, her lips were so soft. I couldn’t stop thinking about them. What was happening to me?It felt like Lilith had done something to me, like she cast a spell. I hated it. I needed to hate her even more now, so she wouldn’t try anything again. That’s what I told myself. But she had been sad. She looked broken. And I kept her. Damn it.Now I couldn’t even focus on my work. All I could think about was the sound of her moan. The softness of her lips. The way my body reacted to her.I was still lost in my thoughts when my phone rang. I frowned and glanced at the screen. It was my father. That man hadn’t even attended my wedding. Not like I cared. There was nothing special a

Nolan’s PovThe moment I stepped into my mansion, the cool silence welcomed me.I headed upstairs. First person I saw was Zoey.“Hi,” she said, rubbing her eyes like she’d just woken up from another world.I gave her a small nod.“Why didn’t you wake me up?” she asked. “I overslept. I don’t even know what happened to me.”“I don’t know,” I said, walking past her a bit. “You looked knocked out. Like you ate something that hit you hard. I called your name a few times, but you didn’t budge.”She squinted at me. “What if I was dead?”“You weren’t. I checked your breathing,” I said flatly, giving her a look. She rolled her eyes, but then her voice softened. “So... how did it go?”“I met up with him. I’ll take care of it.”She stepped closer, looking relieved. “Thank you so much,” she said, then wrapped her arms around me.I didn’t move for a second, just let her hug me. She needed that. Then she said she was heading to her office, the one we set up for her here in the mansion.I told her I

Lilith’s Pov It was actually so nice being in Nolan’s office. Everything about it screamed calm and expensive. I don’t know—he's just so... nice. So, so nice. The kind of nice that makes you forget he can also be scary when he wants to be. And honestly, if he wasn’t my brother-in-law, I might’ve said I kind of like him. But I can’t go there. After I told him I was planning to go see Killian later, Nolan went back to whatever he was doing. He didn’t say much, just nodded. I went back to scrolling on my phone, pretending not to notice how quiet it had gotten between us. Then, after a while, he stood up and said, “That’s it. We should start going home.” I nodded. “Okay, definitely.” I was actually happy I stepped out today. The air outside felt different. Fresh. Free. It was better than sitting in that big house, being haunted by silence. We stood up and started walking out. I could feel eyes on me. I wasn’t sure if they were judging me or just curious... or maybe admiring me. I did

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 36

Nolan’s PovWhat? What does she mean he kissed her last night? Why would Killian even do that?Yes, they’re married, but he doesn’t love her. He’s made that very clear. Is he trying to mess with her feelings now? Use her? And then dump her like she’s nothing?I looked at her, and she repeated it again, “Did you hear what I said?”I nodded. “Yeah, I heard.”She looked a bit unsure. “I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable.”I shook my head quickly. “No, no. It’s nothing.”But it was something.I didn’t like the way it made me feel.“So… what’s the problem now?” I asked. She sighed. “He kissed me. Then pushed me away. I didn’t ask for it. And now I feel like I’m the one at fault.”I shook my head. “You’re not.”And I meant it.“You’re not the problem, Lilith. I don’t know what’s going on in his head, but it’s not you.”“Are you sure?” she asked, looking straight at me like she needed to hear it again.“Yes,” I said. “I know my brother. He’s the one messing up, not you. Trust me. He’ll com
