Lilith's Pov

I didn’t even know where the courage came from.

The courage to sit beside my so-called husband, watching another woman almost naked in front of us.

I wanted to throw the glass in my hand. I wanted to scream. I wanted to destroy everything near me. But I stayed calm. I kept my face cold, like nothing touched me.

And I had no idea why I told her to touch him.

Maybe I was testing something. Maybe I just wanted to feel numb. But it wasn’t jealousy. Not even a little.

She was still standing there, unsure. Then suddenly, she started walking toward Killian.

She hesitated at first, but then moved like she had done this many times before. Her hips swayed slowly, almost like she was trying to seduce both of us.

When she reached him, she placed her hand gently on his chest.

Her fingers moved slowly, like she was trying to make love to him with just her touch.

I just stared at the scene in front of me, my insides twisted with every second. Not because I loved him. I didn’t. At least, I didn’t think I did.

It was the disrespect.

Bringing someone into our home. Into a space where I sleep. Where I live.

He had no shame. And I had no pride left to protect.

I stood up quietly. I placed my glass of whiskey down on the table.

“You can enjoy yourself with the girl,” I said, my voice calm, but cold.

Then I turned to her. “You danced awfully, by the way.”

I didn’t wait for their reactions. I walked out.

The moment I closed the door behind me, my chest broke open.

I started to cry.

Tears poured down my face, and I didn’t care if anyone saw.

I kept walking toward my room, wiping my eyes with the back of my hand, but it was no use.

Then I heard a door open behind me.

I turned my head slightly. It was the girl. She was rushing out of Killian’s room. She looked embarrassed of what just happened, I'm pretty sure it was Killian that sent her away.

I didn’t say anything. I didn’t stop her. I just watched her go.

But in my head, I kept thinking, what if I hadn’t walked in? What if my father hadn’t called me earlier?

Would he have taken her to bed?

While I was sitting alone in my room?

Crying?

Waiting for nothing?

I hadn’t called anyone. It was too early for me to start complaining or becoming a burden to anyone.

And yet, Killian had already started messing around with other women.

I stormed into my room, slamming the door behind me.

The first thing I did was grab a glass.

Then the bottle of whiskey.

And I drank.

I drank and drank and drank.

For how long? God knows. I just kept pouring and drinking, like it would drown out the ache in my chest.

Then the door opened.

I didn’t have to look to know who would open my door without knocking.

My husband. Killian.

I didn’t even turn to him.

I kept my back to him and said, “What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be having fun? I thought you'd last longer… or are you one of those men who can’t?”

I heard his footsteps behind me.

His voice was sharp. “I told you to stay away from me. What sort of drama did you just pull in front of my guest?”

In my head, I whispered, the audacity.

I turned slowly to face him. My voice came out steady, but my heart was boiling.

“Your guest? Seriously, Killian? I am your wife. Nothing you do can erase that. And for the record, I didn’t even want to see your face. I only came to deliver the message my father asked me to give you.”

He huffed. Loud. Bitter. “Oh really? You don’t want to see my face? Look at yourself.”

I rolled my eyes. “I don’t have time for this, Killian. Say whatever you want and leave my room. I won’t cross your path. Just let me be.”

That was when he started walking toward me.

Before I could step back, he grabbed my wrist.

“Killian! What are you doing?” I shouted, trying to pull away.

But he didn’t say a word.

He dragged me out of my room. His grip was tight and almost Painful.

“Let me go!” I yelled, struggling, but he was stronger.

We stopped halfway through the hallway.

His voice was cold. “Don’t ever cross this path to my room for any reason. Do you hear me?”

I laughed bitterly. “I’ll be glad to. You didn’t even have to say it. That was my plan all along.”

He huffed again, furious.

I was still struggling, then he let go of my wrist which caused me to lose balance.

I almost fell, but instead of hitting the floor, I landed against someone.

A firm chest.

Strong hands caught me.

I looked up to see who it was.

The man looked down at me with soft eyes. “Whoa, whoa. What’s going on here?”

I quickly stood up, brushing my hands against my dress.

Then I looked at him again.

The man who caught me.

He looked almost like Killian.

Same sharp jaw. Same cold eyes. Same proud posture.

But… softer.

Not in a gentle way. Just… less mean.

Then I heard Killian's voice.

“What are you doing here?”

The man raised his brow. “Is that how you greet your brother?”

Brother?

I blinked.

Oh.

That’s why they looked alike.

My mind spun.

So this is Killian’s brother.

He was broad like Killian. Tall too. But just a bit shorter, but definitely taller than me.

Killian didn’t respond. Just glared.

His brother turned to me. “And who do we have here?”

Before I could speak, Killian snapped, “Don’t ask stupid questions. You know who she is.”

I stood there, staring at both of them.

Why were they talking like I wasn’t even there?

Like I was invisible?

Like I was a joke they both shared?

Then the brother gave a small smirk.

He looked me straight in the eyes.

“Oh… is that our perfect, murderous, killer bride?”

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 126

Lilith’s Pov I didn’t know how to feel.I didn’t even know how to breathe anymore. Why? Why would Nolan give me something that’s meant to block my memories—when I’m supposed to be healing? When he’s supposed to be helping me heal? What the hell was he hiding? My thoughts were spiraling, drowning me in questions that had no answers. Not yet.Polly broke the silence. “Let me help you take a shower,” she said quietly, “before Mr. Williams fires me.”I gave a soft, lifeless laugh. “Sure. Let’s not give him another reason.”I didn’t even have the strength for any more drama. Not tonight.Polly wheeled me to the bathroom, but I insisted on trying to stand. Slowly. Cautiously. Painfully—but I did it. Little steps. Little victories. And for the first time in a long while, something in my life made me genuinely happy.“I’m getting better,” I whispered to myself as Polly helped me change into my nightwear. She smiled. “You really are.”Afterwards, Polly asked gently, “Do you want something to

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 125

Lilith’s Pov I woke up to the sound of soft breathing beside me.At first, I didn’t want to move. I wasn’t sure where I was, for a second. Then it all came rushing back—yesterday. The café. Killian. Nolan. The medicine. And then… Nolan’s face.He was right there beside me, sleeping. Peacefully. So still.I turned slightly to my side, just enough to look at him without waking him. My mind was still circling around what I saw him doing the night before. That image of him with the syringe and my syrup it hadn’t left me. I kept hoping maybe it wasn’t real. Maybe I was just seeing things. But deep down, I knew I wasn’t.Then, as if he sensed me watching, Nolan’s eyes fluttered open.“You’re awake,” he murmured softly, his voice groggy but smooth. He sat up against the headboard and leaned over to press a kiss to my forehead. I didn’t flinch. I stayed still.“Good morning,” I said, my voice careful.“Good morning,” he echoed.I watched him for a second, uncertain if I should ask the questi

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 124

Lilith’s Pov Nolan sat in the front seat, arms folded, his jaw clenched so tightly it looked like he could snap. The driver stayed silent in the driver’s seat, and Polly sat beside me in the back, stealing nervous glances in my direction every few seconds. I didn’t know what to expect. I just went out, why did it feel like I had committed a crime? When we reached the house, Nolan didn’t wait. He got down, opened the back door, and without a word, scooped me into his arms like I was a doll he owned.“Polly, come,” he ordered. His voice didn’t hold warmth. It was cold. Controlled. He carried me straight to the living room and placed me on the couch like I was breakable porcelain, then turned to Polly.“Start explaining.”I immediately jumped in. “You don’t have to blame her for anything…”I didn’t even finish before Nolan stormed toward Polly and grabbed her by the neck.“I fucking said she shouldn’t leave this house!” he roared. “Didn’t I say she wasn’t allowed to leave without me?”“

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 123

Lilith’s PovIt was a new day, and for some reason, I felt... good. Peaceful. I couldn’t quite explain it, but this strange calm had settled over me. Maybe it was the weather. Or maybe it was just the simple joy of waking up without a headache, without confusion clouding my thoughts.Or maybe it was Zara. She made everything feel lighter. Our exercises weren’t just physical therapy anymore, they were fun. Her jokes, the way she teased me when I messed up a stretch, the warmth in her eyes…it made me look forward to every session. I didn’t even count the days anymore. I just knew they felt easier now.Polly was with me in the bathroom, like always. She was gently rubbing lotion on my legs, careful around the healing bruises and the cast.“Polly,” I said, my voice soft. “Can I ask you something?”“Yeah, sure,” she replied, glancing up.“How long have you been working for Nolan?”I didn’t know why I asked that. It just popped out of my mouth like it had been waiting there for days.Polly

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 122

Nolan’s PovIt’s been a week.A week of pure fucking bliss. She’s mine. Finally. Not Killian’s.Not some broken-hearted, distant Lilith trapped in her pain. She’s here, breathing, smiling, watching movies with me, like nothing ever happened. Like the universe finally decided I deserved her.I sit beside her on the couch, pretending to care about the movie. But really, all I’m doing is staring at her. Watching how her lips purse when the characters get too dramatic, or how her eyes widen during suspenseful moments. She doesn’t even know what she’s doing to me just by existing.I fucking won. And I’m going to make sure I keep winning. If I smother her with enough love, enough care, enough perfection… there won’t be space left for Killian, even if her memories do come back. Which they won’t. Because I’ll do everything to make sure they don’t.She turned me into a damn movie freak, and I don’t even care.Because she said she likes having me close. That’s all I need.I glance at her again.

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 121

Lilith’s Pov I just stared at him after he tucked that strand of hair behind my ear. There was something about his touch that felt warm… but still, I didn’t forget what I saw earlier. How he grabbed Polly’s neck.He looked at me, his eyes searching my face like he was afraid of what he might find there.“Are you still angry with me?” he asked softly. “Please forgive me.”I blinked slowly, holding back the words in my throat. “You don’t touch women violently, Nolan. You don’t beat anyone.”He nodded, shame crawling over his features. “I know. I was just angry—”“Angry?” I cut him off, narrowing my eyes. “So if I ever get you angry, what happens? Are you going to hit me?”He stepped closer, cupping my face so gently that I felt a jolt of confusion. “No, no, no. Don’t think that of me. Please,” he whispered. “I would never, ever hurt you. Not you.”I studied him. The way his brows creased, the tightness in his jaw, the way his hands trembled ever so slightly.“Even if it’s not me,” I mu
