Killian's Pov

It has been exactly five days and I haven't seen Lilith. My wife.

Not like I wanted to.

But it was as if she knew how to stay close without showing her face. And I liked that. I didn’t want to see her face.

For the last five days, work kept me alive. Going to the office. Finalizing deals. Closing things. Keeping busy so I wouldn’t think. Wouldn’t remember. Wouldn’t feel. But tonight, I needed a break. My head was full. My chest was heavier than usual.

I stared at the girl in front of me with a glass of whiskey in my hand. The drink burned the back of my throat. I took another sip. She was standing a few feet away, in a short black mini dress, heels that clicked against the tiles, and a look in her eyes that made her intentions clear. Seduction was her weapon tonight.

Music played in the background, something slow with a dirty rhythm.

I wasn’t the type to invite whores over to my house. I usually didn’t need to.

But tonight, I didn’t have the strength to go out. So I asked her to come.

She started dancing. Slowly. Moving her hips in time with the music. Her eyes never left mine. I didn’t move. I didn’t smile. I just watched her.

She turned around, ran her hands up her own body, and pulled down the zip at the back of her dress. It fell to the floor like nothing. She was wearing a matching undies set underneath. Tight on her skin and then she moved closer.

I leaned back on the couch and took another drink. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted her. I just didn’t want to feel empty.

She reached for the clasp of her bra.

And then the door opened.

I never locked my door. But nobody in this house dared to walk into my room without knocking. Nobody.

Until one human did. My so-called wife….Lilith

She walked in, holding a phone in her hand, immediately she saw the scene in front of her, She looked at me. Then at the girl.

Then back at me again.

The girl froze, quickly grabbing her dress and clutching it to her chest, covering herself like she had just remembered shame.

I didn’t even flinch.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice cold.

Lilith didn’t blink. “My father said he’s been trying to contact you. You’re not picking up. He wants to have a meeting with you.”

“You can go now.” I waved my hand carelessly.

Lilith raised a brow. “I can go wherever I want. This is my house too.”

I didn’t respond. I just stared at her.

Her scar was visible. That thin line running down her neck, barely noticeable unless you were looking.

Her eyes, one the color of honey, the other grey. It used to throw me off. But now, it only reminded me of everything. The surgeries. The accident. The fact that she survived. That she was still here. That she ruined everything.

She should have died.

But instead, she became this….Beautiful. Too beautiful. Her eyes made her look like an angel sent down to earth.

But her beauty wouldn’t make me forget the truth.

She was a killer.

A monster.

She was Lilith.

“Leave my room,” I said.

She let out a soft laugh. Not loud. Not mocking. Just calm.

Then she walked across the room and sat beside me on the couch like she belonged there. She crossed her legs. Got comfortable. Reached for my glass and poured herself more whiskey like she had done it a thousand times.

The girl in front of me looked shaken. Still clutching her dress. “I should go,” she said quietly.

Lilith didn’t even glance her way. “No. You don’t have to go.”

“I really should,” the girl repeated, her voice small.

“What are you doing, Lilith?” I asked, staring at her.

She turned to me with a slow smile. “Husband. I can see you’re enjoying yourself here. Why don’t you both enjoy it together?”

Then she turned her head to the girl and said,

“Strip.”

It took me a second to process what she just said.

“Strip,” Lilith repeated, her voice steady, eyes calm.

I snapped out of my daze. “Stop this,” I said sharply, standing.

She turned to me slowly. “Husband, you don’t want to spoil the mood, right?” Her voice was light, playful… and dangerous.

Then she looked back at the girl. “You didn’t hear me? I said strip.”

The girl looked between us, clearly confused. Her gaze lingered on me, searching for a sign.

I gave a slow nod and sat down. I wanted to see where Lilith was going with this. I wanted to know what kind of game she was playing.

Lilith walked over to the bar, picked up my half-empty glass of whiskey and took a sip. Then she made herself comfortable in the armchair across from me. Her legs crossed, the short silk gown she wore slipping slightly to reveal more of her thighs. Not too short, not too revealing, but enough to make a man notice. She didn’t care.

The music got louder. The girl in front of us started to move her hips again, this time less confidently.

But I wasn’t watching her. I was watching Lilith.

She didn’t even blink. Her eyes were locked on the girl, cold and calm like she was watching a movie. What the hell is this? I thought.

“You’re missing the fun,” she said without looking at me. “Look at her.”

I turned my gaze back to the girl just as her hands moved behind her back. She unclasped her bra. Her breasts spilled out, round and soft, her nipples tight as she continued dancing to the slow beat. The bra fell to the floor.

She was nervous. I could tell. Not because she was naked. But because Lilith was watching her like she was studying a chess piece.

Still, she didn’t stop.

Then Lilith leaned forward, resting her elbow on the armrest. Her voice was soft but sharp.

“Come. Touch him.”

I stared at her. “Something must be wrong with you,” I muttered.

She tilted her head slightly, smiling like this was the most normal thing in the world. “Oh no, husband. Don’t be shy. This is what you wanted, right?” Her voice was sweet. Too sweet. “You’re going to get it.”

Then she turned back to the girl and said, “I don’t want to repeat myself. Come. Touch him.”

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 38

Nolan’s PovThe moment I stepped into my mansion, the cool silence welcomed me.I headed upstairs. First person I saw was Zoey.“Hi,” she said, rubbing her eyes like she’d just woken up from another world.I gave her a small nod.“Why didn’t you wake me up?” she asked. “I overslept. I don’t even know what happened to me.”“I don’t know,” I said, walking past her a bit. “You looked knocked out. Like you ate something that hit you hard. I called your name a few times, but you didn’t budge.”She squinted at me. “What if I was dead?”“You weren’t. I checked your breathing,” I said flatly, giving her a look. She rolled her eyes, but then her voice softened. “So... how did it go?”“I met up with him. I’ll take care of it.”She stepped closer, looking relieved. “Thank you so much,” she said, then wrapped her arms around me.I didn’t move for a second, just let her hug me. She needed that. Then she said she was heading to her office, the one we set up for her here in the mansion.I told her I

Lilith’s Pov It was actually so nice being in Nolan’s office. Everything about it screamed calm and expensive. I don’t know—he's just so... nice. So, so nice. The kind of nice that makes you forget he can also be scary when he wants to be. And honestly, if he wasn’t my brother-in-law, I might’ve said I kind of like him. But I can’t go there. After I told him I was planning to go see Killian later, Nolan went back to whatever he was doing. He didn’t say much, just nodded. I went back to scrolling on my phone, pretending not to notice how quiet it had gotten between us. Then, after a while, he stood up and said, “That’s it. We should start going home.” I nodded. “Okay, definitely.” I was actually happy I stepped out today. The air outside felt different. Fresh. Free. It was better than sitting in that big house, being haunted by silence. We stood up and started walking out. I could feel eyes on me. I wasn’t sure if they were judging me or just curious... or maybe admiring me. I did

Nolan’s PovWhat? What does she mean he kissed her last night? Why would Killian even do that?Yes, they’re married, but he doesn’t love her. He’s made that very clear. Is he trying to mess with her feelings now? Use her? And then dump her like she’s nothing?I looked at her, and she repeated it again, “Did you hear what I said?”I nodded. “Yeah, I heard.”She looked a bit unsure. “I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable.”I shook my head quickly. “No, no. It’s nothing.”But it was something.I didn’t like the way it made me feel.“So… what’s the problem now?” I asked. She sighed. “He kissed me. Then pushed me away. I didn’t ask for it. And now I feel like I’m the one at fault.”I shook my head. “You’re not.”And I meant it.“You’re not the problem, Lilith. I don’t know what’s going on in his head, but it’s not you.”“Are you sure?” she asked, looking straight at me like she needed to hear it again.“Yes,” I said. “I know my brother. He’s the one messing up, not you. Trust me. He’ll com

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 35

Lilith’s PovI couldn’t breathe. Not because I was choking, not because something was stuck in my throat… but because Killian had just kissed me. He kissed me. Not a dream, not a fantasy. His lips. My lips. A moment I never thought would exist between us, especially not after everything I did. Not after the way I broke him.And now, I was walking back to my room.Correction: I had been sent out of his.I didn’t blame him. He probably hated himself for letting that happen. Maybe he hated me too. Maybe that kiss brought back everything I made him feel—the pain, the betrayal, the heartbreak. And maybe he hated that he wanted it.I didn’t even know what I felt. My lips still tingled. My skin was still on fire.I shut the door to my room, the silence suddenly too loud. It was barely 10 p.m. I stared at my phone for a second before deciding. I needed someone. Someone who knew me beyond this hell.Emily.I dialed.“Hey, what’s up?” Her voice was bubbly as always.“I’m fine… you?”“Nothing mu

Killian’s PovShe had to be joking.A movie? Really? Was that her idea of payback?“No,” I said immediately. “I’m not doing that.”“Okay then,” Lilith shrugged. “Apology not accepted. Let’s go home.”That’s it? She wasn’t going to argue? She turned to the window. Leaned her head like I didn’t exist. I sat there, arms folded, wondering what the hell just happened. Why was I feeling weird?Uncomfortable.Guilty?No. That couldn’t be it.I’m Killian. I don’t feel uncomfortable because of anyone. And definitely not guilty. This was supposed to be a romantic dinner date. Wasn’t that what it’s called? Dinner. Quiet. Fancy place. No loud talk. No drama. Was she expecting us to laugh and joke? Was this high school?I tried. I swear I did.And yet I kept replaying the evening in my head like a broken record. Questioning. Doubting. Again and again. The car stopped.Lilith got out before I could even touch the door handle. Walked fast, like she couldn’t wait to get away.I followed behind, still

  • Dear Wife, I Hate You   Chapter 33

Killian’s PovHeading to the office that morning, I felt… off. It wasn’t guilt, no. I don’t do guilt. But I’m not a monster either. I have a conscience, even if it only shows up once in a while. What happened last night with Lilith—maybe it could’ve gone differently. But then again, she should have spoken up. She should’ve said something. So no, it wasn’t my fault. I wasn’t going to carry the blame for her silence.I sat back, stared out the tinted window as the city rushed past, and shoved the thoughts aside. I had a business to run. Feelings could wait—or die. When the car pulled up at the office, the security opened the door, and I stepped out like nothing was wrong. People greeted me as usual, some with fear, some with fake smiles. I don’t bother learning their faces. I only care about names and results. The only one whose face I recognize is my personal assistant, because she’s too efficient to ignore.Nobody in that office can dare cross me. They know the rules. If you go behind
