Damn it I'm an emotional mess
We returned to the jeep and I pulled my debit card from my wallet and handed it to Rai telling him I'd pay. He took it and set it down and headed towards a burger king. We ordered at least a dozen whoppers and laughed as we headed back to the house. Rai grabbed the two large sodas and I carried the bags.
"I can't believe that you eat exactly like I do," I chuckled. He shrugged and pushed the door open. We sat together at the dining room table and divided up our haul. On the run, being huntedI arranged everything for travel and dialed my father. When he answered I told him I was being hunted by a corpse seeker sent by Destiny. That information pissed him off and I shuddered at the energy he was giving off, being able to sense it through the phone freaked me out. Several mornings after I heard my father saying my name repeatedly and opened one eye to see the man sitting on the bed near me. "What are you doing here this early," I yawned and frowned seeing the space next to me bare of Rai. I glanced at my father and he looked distraught. My heart dropped. "What is going on now," I mumbled sourly. My father inhaled deeply and sighed. "Destiny decided to alter your friends' lives. Rai answered a call on your cell phone this morning from the hospital about their accident, you were their emergency contact. He then called me.
