Pushing my head in through the half-opened door, I flashed my smile bones at the manager. "Mr Cortez! You looking fine today. Did you get a haircut?"
He blinked, his palm running over his short quiff that I had been seeing at the same shape since I joined, but compliments didn't have to be a timely thing, right?
"Yeah, I did. Three weeks ago."
I walked inside with a sweet toothy smile. "Means you look fabulous everyday."
His face lit up as he straightened up in his chair, puffing out his chest. "Well, thank you, Ms Green!"

I slammed a stack of files on his table, startling the glee off his face.
"What are these?" he queried, furrowing his brows.
"Files," I answered curtly.
