The Date

“So where are we going?” Ashley asked and poked Hayden’s hand as he drove.

“I already told you to stop asking questions.”

“But am so curious, I am dressed up like a princess and it looks too good to be a date.”

“It's a date, and you asked for it.”

“So why am I dressed like this?”

“This is how girls dress up for dates.”

“Really?”

“Your questions are getting annoying.” He said and she giggled.

“Just sit and watch and for once in your life, act like a girl.”

“What? I act like a girl all the time.”

“Really? A girl doesn't poke who is taking her on dates, a girl doesn't ask a million questions at a time and a girl doesn't say a dinner gown is like a princess outfit.”

“Oh, is this a dinner gown?” She asked and Hayden sighed.

“How come you have never gone on a date before? Don't you have friends you go out with?”

“Kind of, when I was in school, I felt like I had no reason to do all these, all I looked forward to is graduation and sleeping on my parent’s couch.”
