Demon’s Little Bride

Ashley Smith waited anxiously for it to get to her turn, she watched as both males and females walk out of the office in tears. She sighed and held her papers tightly. The worst part of this is that she doesn't have any idea of what she is applying for, all she knows was that she heard some people talking about a vacancy in this company and she showed up.

She is the kind of girl who gives up easily, she doesn't think working hard is the best, and all she wants to do is live her life the best way she can which is still living in her parent's house at the age of twenty-one. Just like she always says, “life is too short to waste a second.”

She finally decided to do something with her life when her mother became sick months ago, her father has spent a lot on her but still, there are no changes.

She decided to make enough money to send her mother to a better hospital since they lived in the local areas of Los Angeles. Her father is getting weak from trying to make enough money for them every day and that was when she decided it was time for her to get serious with her life.

She is done with high school and college and lucky for her sue graduated with flying colors, although she is not a straight As student but she had good grades.

“Next.” She heard a voice say and she stood up nervously. She adjusted her skirt and cleared her throat, she walked into the office and met a man looking at the papers on his table.

She cleared her throat and he slowly looked up at her. She stared at him with her mouth wide open as he gave her a questioning look.

“Oh my God, he is so hot.” She blurted.

“You are not wrong about that.” He replied and she snapped out of her thoughts.

“Yeah, sorry about that.” She said and bowed her head.

“Name?”

“Ashley Smith.”

“Age?”

“Twenty-one.”

“What are you here for?” He asked and she bit her lip.

“I actually have no idea but I will take any job you offer, I am really okay with anything.” She said and he stared at her.

“Do you even know the name of this company?”

“I think I heard when some girls were talking about it, it's called Empire Acts right?” She asked him and he stared at her.

“Why are you here?”

“To get a job, obviously.” She said.

“They are actually auditioning here, not a job.”

“Oh, that is what the Acts mean.” She muttered and bit her lip.

“You are paying for the role, right? What is it about?” She asked and he sighed.

“You should know all these by the way, anyway, you are hired.”

“You kidding me right?” She asked and he kept a straight face.

“Oh my God, thank you so much! Yes, I am going to show my dad who the working hard good daughter is!” She said happily and he stared at her.

She noticed his look on her and she cleared her throat, she bowed her head and he sighed.

“Sorry, sir.” She muttered.

“You know the rules already right?” He asked.

“Oh, yeah. You don't know about it. It’s simple, all you have to do is... “

“Sorry, I am so sorry for interrupting you but can you first tell me the pay? That is the most important thing.” She cut him off and he chuckled.

“Weird. Okay, the pay is three million dollars monthly and you... “

“Oh my God, three million dollars monthly? Am I killing someone for you?” She asked and he chuckled again.

“Hold on, you will be paid three million dollars monthly, and all you have to do is live in a house with the male character of the movie for three months, if you get passed this review you will be used in the movie and you will get a contract over a hundred million dollars, are you still interested?” He asked and her eyes widen in shock.

“Okay, what you are trying to say is that all I have to do is live with the male character for three months and I will get paid? Then after that, if I pass the review, I will get a contract of a hundred million dollars?” She asked and he nodded.

“That was exactly what I said.”

“Oh my God, that is so huge. I could have a better life, my life will be so fucking great and my parents will be proud of me!” She screamed in her head and giggled.

“Done, I am so in sir, when can I start?”

“Tomorrow, drop your address off to the receptionist on your way out.”

“Thank you.” She giggled and he nodded.

“Oh, and one more thing, you will get to live your life the way you want, just be free. Do whatever you want, it might not be easy and it would be easy at the same time, you can live the life you have always wanted in three months.”

“Sure, I will.” She replied and giggled.

“So, who is the male character? Is it you?” She asked and he chuckled.

“No, I just conduct the interview, you will meet the male character tomorrow.”

“Okay, thank you.”

“Sure, you will surely live the best life in three months, I hope you pass the review.” He said and she nodded with a smile.

She bowed and walked out of the office, she got out of the office and used the elevator to the first floor. She dropped her address and details with the receptionist and walked out with a smile.

She hurriedly took the bus and after a while, she got home. She walked into her house happily and danced around.

“Oh, I got a job!” She yelled and hummed a song, she suddenly bumped into her father as she danced around and he glared at her.

“Sorry dad, I got a job.” She giggled and his eyes widen in shock.

“You got a job?” He asked surprised.

“Yes, dad!” She yelled happily and hugged him.
